Have you noticed you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, ungrounded, disconnected, and restless? At this time there is a need for grounding in our bodies and healing in our hearts. I have designed this new yoga series to connect with our hearts in a grounded way. The first class in this series will allow you to settle into your body to feel the stable foundation and support of the earth underneath you, while you connect with the compassion and peace in your heart.
The hatha yoga postures in this class are deeply supportive and stabilizing, drawing on the grounding qualities of the earth from a front lying guided relaxation to bring you into the yoga class, to sphinx pose, to gentle cat pose. Tree pose will secure your roots into the earth. Gentle supported backbends will allow you to connect with your heart center. There will be much spaciousness for your to settle deeply and connect thoroughly with your own body and heart. You will even be given the option of muting the audio if oral cues are too overwhelming for you at this time. Throughout this hatha yoga class you will attune with your heart center and settle into the stable foundation of your body.
