The N=4 super Yang-Mills plasma is studied in the regime of weak coupling. Collective excitations and collisional processes are discussed. Since the Keldysh-Schwinger approach is used, the collective excitations in both equilibrium and non-equilibrium plasma are under consideration. The dispersion equations of gluon, fermion, and scalar modes are written down and the self-energies, which enter the equations, are computed in the Hard Loop Approximation. The self-energies are discussed in the...

In this paper we contribute to the generic theory of Hamiltonians by proving that there is a C2-residual R in the set of C2 Hamiltonians on a closed symplectic manifold M, such that, for any H in R, there is an open and dense set S(H) in H(M) such that, for every e in S(H), the Hamiltonian level (H,e) is topologically mixing.

An anti-Kaehlerian manifold is a complex manifold with an anti-Hermitian metric and a parallel almost complex structure. It is shown that a metric on such a manifold must be the real part of a holomorphic metric. It is proved that all odd Chern numbers of an anti-Kaehlerian manifold vanish and that complex parallelisable manifolds (in particular the factor space G/D of a complex Lie group G over the discrete subgroup D) are anti-Kaehlerian manifolds. A method of generating new solutions of...

We present a direct connection between torus knots and Hopfions by finding stable and static solutions of the extended Faddeev-Skyrme model with a ferromagnetic potential term. (P,Q)--torus knots consisting of |Q| sine-Gordon kink strings twisted P/Q times into the poloidal cycle along the toroidal cycle on a toroidal domain wall carry the Hopf charge PQ, which demonstrates that Hopfions can be further classified according to torus knot type.

We introduce an adaptation of the well known Tree+SPH numerical scheme to Post Newtonian (PN) hydrodynamics and gravity. Our code solves the (0+1+2.5)PN equations. These equations include Newtonian hydrodynamics and gravity (0PN), the first order relativistic corrections to those (1PN) and the lowest order gravitational radiation terms (2.5PN). We test various aspects of our code using analytically solvable test problems. We then proceed to study the 1PN effects on binary neutron star...
