The teachings offered here are real yoga for real people with detailed, slow, step by step instructions. Yoga is for every body. Whether you are thin, tall, short, voluptuous, inflexible, or uncoordinated you are welcome. Melissa offers lots of modifications including how to make space for your belly, care for your weak wrists, how to balance and cues on how to stay focused through the class. Melissa will give you the confidence to let go of self judgment and enjoy every class.
This yoga class will care for the content of your energy through cleansing practices. We will attend to and keep the content of your energy clean through simple flowing movements known as vinyasa in yoga. With a combination of breath practices (pranayama), kiryas, mudras and meditation we will attend our energy with specific practices for energy protection.
The energy you are carrying through your system has the potential to be clean, pure and harmonious and contribute to your health, restoration and nourishment. When the content of your energy is clean, calm and pure, your energy is nourished.
