COON RAPIDS, Minn. -- Just half of eligible voters in Minnesota took part in Tuesday's election, well below the projected turnout of 55 to 60%.
But a record number of voters did cast absentee ballots in the mid-term election.
Jerry Koch, Wade Demmer and Brad Johnson were elected to serve on the Coon Rapids City Council.
Mike Gamache was elected to represent District 5 on the Anoka County Board. That seat is currently held by Carl LeDoux, who chose not to seek re-election.
