and thank you to my colleagues for being here to continue this hearing that we started in september and late september after rufksz by the san francisco chronicle with regard to the millennium tower the first high-rise seismically in fill area has sunk more than double the original projections of 4 to 6 inches to 16 inches and is payroll titling two inches towards northwest and further we understand that it will continue to sink up to 32 inches and further exacerbating at the base frankly the september hearing didn't guess as well to recap i was

disappointed with the lack of transparency and the follow-up from our department of building inspection and throughout the hearing was fulfilled by contradictory responses to our line of questions and the hands off approach by the department to anything outside of a complaint which still is absent behalf egging we want to spend a few minutes talking about why the department is solely complaint driven in the intervening 5 weeks some progress we're in position of a letter from the department of building inspection that was issued yesterday that speaks to some broader policy changes which we'll discuss a little bit and also as i think we're all aware yesterday the department of
