"action news" at 12:30 continues with rick williams, sara bloomquist, and meteorologist, david murphy. hello again, sara is off and here are the stories we are following for you now on "action news" at 12:30, developing now details out of center city after a psychiatrist was mysteriously found dead in a hotel room. and police in west philadelphia are looking for a gunman that shot and killed a man while walking his dog and the manhunt is searching for the so-called affluent-za teen. it's the first full day of winter and instead of tracking the possibility of snow, we are watching for periods of rain. as we look outside from sky 6 hd, it's unseasonably warm and

roadway inn at 12th and walnut streets. chad pradelli is live with the details. >> reporter: rick, sources tell me that the autopsy on baker is almost complete and at this point, all signs point to this being a homicide and i am learning from sources that the victim was robbed. >> sources say the dead psychiatrist was discovered by a housekeeper yesterday, he was naked, faceup with what appears to be a rope wrapped tightly around his neck, surveillance cameras show one man entering and later leaving the doctor's hotel room and returns later. sources say the doctor's wallet and backpack were stolen, police commissioner charles ramsey gave few details this morning. >> we don't know cause of death or manner, we'll wait for the medical examiner and see if he can make the determination the

psychiatrist's office is just two blocks from the hotel, and sources tell "action news" that the psychiatrist frequently used the hotel, yesterday there was a slew of activity there that neighbors say can attract all walks of life but at times seedy characters. >> police are still trying to identify the suspects and at last check no one was in custody. i'm live out seed of police headquarters, chad pradelli, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. a man was shot to death while walking his dog last night and the gunman remains on the loose, it happened on the 300 block oforton street. the motive remains a history. in berks county authorities are trying to track down who shot a young girl while sitting in her mother's car, shots rang out at maple street in reading

at least one bullet hit a car with a woman and her young daughter inside. the mother quickly took off and brought the car to a stop block as way frankicly calling for help. >> she walked out of the car panicking, saying dial 911 my daughter was shot, we went to look at what was going on and there were two gunshot wounds in the door and she was shot in both of her legs. >> the girl was calm and alert when paramedics arrived to take her to the hospital. no word on her condition. from our new jersey newsroom, a camden county middle school aide is arrested for sexually assaulting a student, jennifer pasquarella is accused of having sexual can't off school property. she is held on $3,000 bond.

firefighters evacuated three home in the frankford section of philadelphia after a carbon monoxide scare, it happened at the 4300 block of potter street, a couple was awakened at 3:30 this morning and the fumes were coming from a neighboring home and the problems were caused by a portable generator that malfunctioned. residents were able to return after the home was ventilated . loved ones came out to mourn the three women whose lives were cut short in a fiery wreck over the weekend. flowers were laid where they were killed in a crash in holmesburg, she lost control of the car and slam nood a parked tractor trailer carrying hurricane herb aside.

tomorrow a real soaking rain with this area of low pressure to the north and west and this warm front that lifts through gives us a good amount of rain through late morning and the afternoon hours and dense fog makes it tricky to travel as well. a big travel day. this is a look at 9:30 in the morning, a new model run coming in showing scattered showers in the area and heavy rain and it looks to be heaviest in the afternoon and this is the 6:30 run, tomorrow some heavy rain in areas of orange and yellow, running down what to expect a few more showers and then tomorrow through the midmorning to the mid-afternoon and afternoon hours, a steady rain nearly an inch or so of rain coming your way tomorrow, a big travel day and big weather related problems, late christmas evening we are looking for more showers but less than a quarter inch, a damp and dreary couple of days and that continues in the seven-day forecast.
