Description and Context: Alterac Valley is a site for both Warcraft lore and popular player-versus-player(PvP) combat in the World of Warcraft. Up to 40 players can join this battleground to help drive the invading Dwarven Stormpike Expedition out of Alterac Valley as Horde, or defend against the attacking Frostwolf Clan as the Alliance. Here, many players team up in advance (known as a Premade) to enter the battle at the same time, giving them the advantage of organization and the use Ventrilo for voice chat. The goal of this battleground is to make it to the enemy keep and slay the alliance commander Vanndar Stormpike, or the horde commander Drek'thar. Killing Balinda Stonehearth(or the horde Galvangar) and destroying towers on the way give both make the final fight much less difficult and give extra honor (used to purchase PvP-oriented equipment).
