This is a collection of 11 recorded cassette tapes with recordings from various radio stations that I've recorded way back in 2019 - 2020.
These tapes features these radio stations:
98.7 The Breeze WDZH
94.7 WCSX
104.3 WOMC
97.9 WJLB
These tapes include a variety of songs from various artists that were being played on these stations that I've recorded from. Even though 98.7 The Breeze has switched to an alternative, this radio station can be revisited with these 8 tapes that I've recorded from this station. But this station will be missed from now on.
I used a Sony CMT-SBT20 and a JVC TD-W107 with a homemade Aux to RCA adapter Me and my Dad made to record tapes #1 to #3 of 98.7 The Breeze back in December 25, 2019. I've got the JVC TD-W107 for Christmas to replace my broken Sharp GF-340. The recordings from my homemade Aux to RCA adapter is partially in stereo. Most of the vocals are on the left channel, however, there's none on the right channel. Mixing both audio channels together could probably fix this issue, but it's not really a big deal nonetheless.
Unfortunately, after finishing tapes #2 and #3, I noticed that my JVC TD-W107 was starting to eat tapes. So I had to find another working cassette tape recorder to be able to record more tapes. Until...
I got the Sony CFD-V8 from the Harrow Public School that I went to. The staff at my school told me that I can take it home with me to fix it. And surprisingly enough, it worked! And I continued to record a lot more tapes with this recorder.
Way back in January 2020 at the Harrow Public School, when we used to do something special in the RISE Class, I brought over my 3 recorded tapes to play. I played Tape #3 on the Panasonic RQ-2102 Cassette Recorder in the RISE Class when we were making some nice fancy treats and food in the class. My RISE Class Teacher used to call me "The DJ" whenever I brought over my tapes into school.
On the last school day in December 2019 before Christmas Break, I did some voice recordings on Tape #2 on Side B with the Panasonic RQ-2102 Cassette Recorder. During the capture of Tape #2, I decided to splice out the recording of the tape in Audacity due to my or anybody's privacy.
For every good school week I had, I was rewarded with a Maxell 60 Minute Tape. And on the last day of school I believe, I received a pack of 6 VCI Blank Tapes. I've used 4 of these tapes, but I kept 2 tapes sealed.
And yeah. Hope you enjoy this collection of recorded tapes I made during my days of recording tapes!
