This first phase of reopening is concentrated on Recreational amenities as the cities and counties can not “flip a switch”, as some might hope, and return to business as usual before Covid-19.
In accordance with the President’s Guidelines for Opening Up America, local and regional leaders have been working together to construct an organized and thoughtful strategy for rolling back the various restrictions we have been living under for the past number of weeks and begin a “reopening” of our community.
Weston's passive parks (all parks except Regional, Tequesta Trace and Vista Park) will be open daily until 6pm for walking, running, biking and general exercise. Playgrounds, picnic pavilions, exercise equipment, basketball courts, restrooms, shared spaces and water fountains will remain closed. Community parks, such as those in various Weston neighborhoods, may be opened but with the same restrictions in place.
Golf courses and tennis courts may resume operations under restricted playing conditions, designed to maximize the health, safety, and welfare of participants and staff.
WE and Weston will get through this together and create the New Weston Way Be Safe – Be Healthy – Be Smart
