The old JCPenney building in Riverdale will soon be getting some new life.
On Thursday night, the Planning Commission approved a site plan to convert the vacant storefront into five different tenant spaces. The exterior of the building would also be updated and the rear 20,000 square feet would be demolished to make way for two new loading bays.
JCPenney closed four stores in Minnesota last year including the Riverdale location.
No word yet on the new tenants for the updated space.
