'Circle' are a multinational band formed in the winter of 1998. Johan (Swedish) and Ed (Spanish) had already been in a number of bands together but were 'band-less' at the time they met Ben (English), an avid singer / songwriter, through Ed's uncle.
It was a week later at their first jam session that the enthusiastic trio experienced 'the click' that left them in no doubt about starting a band.
Despite work and study commitments (Johan left London to study Law in Oxford, Ed took up a full-time course studying Economics in London and Ben started his own Creative Development Company) and hence considerable difficulties in getting the trio to The Vatican Rehearsal Studios in East London at the same time - their prolific song writing abilities enabled them to quickly amass enough songs for a DEMO album and ultimately, gigs.
The demo was recorded at the Steam Room Studios, Poplar, London in the Summer of 1998, just six months after their first jam session; but despite an enthusiastic reception from any ears near that cared to listen - 'Circle's' study and work commitments have unfortunately ensured that their demo has never been played to anyone it was intended for and has simply remained under-wraps; at least until now that is.
'Circle' admit that their ambition, if their music once again fell upon appreciative ears (this being only a small portion of it), would be to record with a great producer and if offered that opportunity they would be back in the same rehearsal studio like a flash - but then they would say that wouldn't they?
