Global Elite breathes new life in to the classic renaissance sound of hip hop. Through their previous underground release of the Ep Ya Learn From ItThe Art, the new single, Queen Bee, created a strong buzz for the vocal elite and is a must have for your underground hip hop collection.
Golden Child's recipe for what is referred to as Production Elite, is a fusion of funk-jazz and classical vibes woven through hard hitting hip hop beats and breaks. The result is a sound that fulfills hip hop listeners hunger of an escape from the trendy loop the whole song and rap over it' syndrome plaguing the rap industry today. The bonus songs included with their new debut strongly reiterate their creative diversity, both in production and lyrical strategy.
Seven (age 22, from N.Y.) and Golden Child (age 21, Canada) were united in the winter of 96 at a studio session in San Diego, CA by independent screenwriter / poet Yusef Ynku. Their Islamic Brotherhood brought forth a strong creative chemistry and thus the saga began. The two spent long hours in the Cave developing their premier compositions until it became Allah's will for Seven to return to his hometown. With plans for Golden Child to make moves to Brooklyn to reunite with his co-operative, Global Elite releases their first jewel and continues building up their arsenal for the release of an upcoming album. Hip hop is back. Who's hungry?
