NEO has recently relocated to NYC. The Austin invasion arrives!! Due to the relocation, NEO is auditioning musicians. A female vocalist is reqwuired to give soul to the soaring melodies written by Randy Beck, lead guitarist and primary writer. We also require a bassist (the busiest player in an otherwise lean and mean sound - you won't be bored), and a drummer with percussion tools.
Recently completing a six-month songwriting phase, Neo's original material is centered around the songwriting of Randy Beck (vocalist/lead guitar). The songs communicate emotions about life, love, and growth. The music continues to evolve into an edgier, more muscular and energetic sound. Neo is fusing rock and latin sounds in much the same manner as the Police did with reggae.
Neo's guitar driven songs are major hit quality, accessible, and FM radio-friendly. Drawing from such diverse influences as The Police, Collective Soul, Vertical Horizon, and The Replacements, Neo has created its own definitive sound which integrates the energy of early rock and the modern, heavier sounding music of the new century.
Currently recruiting permanent members, Neo puts on a fast-paced, exciting show that has been receiving excellent responses. In the Tidewater area, Neo made an excellent showing in their first few weeks. At their showcases at AJ Gators on January 18th and Feb 1st, they were responsible for virtually doubling the size of the crowd on snowy Tuesday nights!!
