Plutonic Lab's music ranges from ambient sound sculptures to futuristic hip-hop beats, the diversity of which is presented in art installations, film, performance soundtracks, and recordings for CD. Tours have included playing supports for Tricky, DJ Shadow, UFO, DJ Krush with Melbourne Hip Hop Band Macronauts as well as productions in Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. Plutonic Lab has received airplay throughout Australia including live to air broadcasts and performances on ABC TV's Recovery program. Recordings for various labels include Creative Vibes, Niche Records, NuffSaid, Blitzkrieg Magazine. The Lab's most recent work has involved collaborations and sound installations for Melbourne artist Kate Beynon. Exhibitions have included The Art Gallery of New South Wales and the Museum for Contemporary Art in Sydney. In collaborations with performance artist Frances Tang Plutonic Lab has produced music for her spokenword performances and also provided the soundtrack for "Transcontinental", a solo dance performance incorporating Chinese traditional dance and opera.
