I've uploaded both of her Boygenius bandmates before, so it was inevitable I'd have to post one for Julien Baker (hi Mure). The setlist, as performed by her and (mostly) a band, contains almost all of her recent album Little Oblivions  and is in very nice quality. Comes with a host of pictures too. Opening for Julien Baker on her tour of Europe, Ratboys are a normally four-piece band who've been temporarily reduced to three (David Sagan broke his arm earlier on the tour and is sadly absent). That said, it's a nice power trio performing half an hour of indie rock, with pretty female vocals. Excellent 24-bit tape from RyanJ ( slightly  worse than Shaky Knees, but still great) on the Tennessee performance from NIN's 2022 shows. Another great recording by Ryan, this setlist features the first performance of much-loved With Teeth  rarity 'The Line Begins to Blur' since 2014, and the encore opens with the first 'Echoplex' in as long (this time with a new outro). 16-bit version of 24-bit recording. Headliners at the Shaky Knees festival, NIN put on a slightly shorter setlist from the Atlanta show - and to compensate, they ramped up the aggression, delivering a frenetic show the taper (in a better recording than Raleigh, it sounds great ) describes as "face-melting". It took a while (a 2020 tour scrapped before booking, a 2021 tour announced and cancelled), but NIN have played their first show since 2018 - and they've made it worth the wait with an amazing setlist. Opening with the first four songs on The Fragile , a few greatest hits follow before deep cut 'The Becoming' (one of six songs from The Downward Spiral ), the first 'Every Day Is Exactly the Same' in sixteen years, two Bowie covers (including a public debut of 'Fashion'), and much loved obscurity...

Given that much of the NIN Live archive is currently not functioning, although new  recordings are able to be posted I'm leaning on having a mirror here (not sure what to do about all of the old tapes...). This is the recording from RyanJ, the owner of said archive and a hero to many - using the same gear as Source 2, this recording is superior (although not perfect; while it's clearer and louder there is a very thumping bass throughout). A third source from this show, all having come from the tapers who run live archives for bands - while the others have been for NIN and RATM, this set comes at you from the owner of the Linkin Park site. Recorded from the edge of the pit, it unfortunately combines the problems of the other two sources (too bassy and it's not clear), but it's impressive to have so many tapes already. Despite shifting away from their metal screaming and blackgaze stylings on 2021's Infinite Granite , Deafheaven still remain a much loved part of the shoegaze scene. This is a good recording of a show with mixing issues live on the night, but it's a good ten-song setlist that still features plenty of old material. Performing in a city at risk of flooding, at a venue where the floor had just collapsed , prodigious Australian psych rockers King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard running through a 100-minute set of mad energy to an enraptured crowd, featuring the four new songs from the set two days prior with another live debut and ending in a jam that lasts over twenty minutes. (I've never listened to them, so this is where I start.) Track listing: I'm in Your Mind > I'm Not in Your Mind > Cellophane...

Perhaps the favourite musician on earth for indie zoomers (like I'm one to talk), someone who has a conflicted relationship with possibly the most enraptured fans since you-know-who, Mitski has been out across the United States on a 'comeback' tour to perform in support of this year's Laurel Hell  and play a hefty dose of older material too - 23 songs on the length of a CD, reasonable recording. Scoring an opening spot for Mitski, the quartet from her mother's home nation of Japan play a unique brand of electropop with experimental influences (or at least that's what I've heard, I was listening to GY!BE when I uploaded this and didn't want to interrupt that). Four songs from WINK  and a few unknown tracks in their ten-song set. There's at least two recordings of the Dorji/Nguyen duo playing in San Francisco to support Godspeed You! Black Emperor; this is the better one in my view (which you can pair with the headliners here ). [not much to say, will wait until listening]

The mononymous German musician Fennesz has made a name for himself by playing electronic music with a guitar, plugging it into a chain of pedals and a laptop to produce a variety of glitch/noise soundscapes. Even more impressively, he does this live, with this a great audience capture from a London show of three instrumental improvisations over an hour.

The South-East Asian noise improv duo MANAS have been making a name for themselves as opening act for Godspeed You! Black Emperor , and this show from the Belasco (taped by the same act as the main set) is a very strong showcase for forty minutes of guitar freakout from Bhutan native Tashi Dorji and drum madness from Vietnamese-American Thom Nguyen.

On top of all his work with Wilco and Uncle Tupelo, Jeff Tweedy has recently emerged as a 'solo' artist of his own right - these shows coming from a performance at the Fillmore Auditorium with his backing band. Good audience recording of a two hour show, with Tweedy's vocals and guitar very front and centre. The final act of the Super Bowl Music Fest (and the reason I decided to upload shows from it at all), Green Day playing a two hour setlist late on Saturday night in LA. Björk's first Cornucopia show since 2019, performing the first of three shows at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. This is a two-source mix of a highly produced artsy performance, with most of her recent Utopia  album being beefed out by a few choice cuts from the past and a special guest.
