i can't possibly write an unbiased description about music i made myself, but having no description at all would be even lousier. i'll just quote myself:
"this release comprises two cooperative projects i've done in the past -err- year or something.
the b-side track was conceived originally as a pretty standard trance track, as a way to help my friend alex biesheuvel, a.k.a. dutchmage, into starting to make music using renoise; he wanted to give it a try. the track was never finished, but at some point i took the chords out of it and did a loungy track - my first in that genre. i thought it worked out reasonably well, but had no intention to release it.
later this year, another friend of mine, robin wakker (gazoda), who plays guitar, asked me if we could do a project together, with my electronic-based beats and synths and himself on guitar. and he wanted it to be loungy. i suddenly remembered having done this one chilled out track before, and said ok. rather quickly, a track with no pronounced lead instruments was conceived, burned onto a cd and taken home by him. i'd almost forgotten all about it when he called me up and asked to do the guitar line he had worked out for it. it was done the next day and he gave it its name - hysterical day.
