This is 3Dvio: 3D printed, Vitruvio's man inspired, poor's man stop motion armature!
Stop motion metal armatures are, actually, quite expensive. If you are starting to learn, or you just want to try, how to make stop motion movies, or you cannot afford one all-metal manikin, then, this is for you. And, hey!, it is 3D printed!! ;)
Based on simple ball joins connections, can handle almost any anatomically-possible position. I tried to keep as anatomically accurate as possible ("Vitruvios's man inspired").
In order to make joins stiffer, cover them with teflon tape. That makes the armature self-supported.
Full length is around 250 mm or 10 inches.
Please, consider this as a work in progress. Don't hesitate to comment!
