Identifying the erosion prone areas and estimation of soil loss in the watershed is essential for implementing suitable conservation practices. In the present study, spatial, temporal variation of C-factor and soil erosion was assessed in a micro-watershed, located in Mahabubnagar district using RUSLE, integrated with Remote Sensing and GIS for the period 2001 to 2016. The mean annual erosivity factor (5007.56 MJ mm ha−1 h−1 yr−1) was derived using daily rainfall data, by adopting...

The current work mainly focuses on identifying optimal chemical treatment for used jute, for treatment NaOH at three concentrations (20,30,40) with different treatment durations (20,40,60) considered. For post-treatment, three different types of chemicals (Alkaline, Kmno4, BenzylChloride) are taken for the study. The Taguchi technique is used to design the experiments and optimize the parameters. The results have shown that the tensile properties are better for UJE composite treated with 30%...

Wear, which is one of the most important characteristic leads to a costly damage in machine parts, unless it is reduced. All the engineering components are naturally imply with wear. The composites with inclusion of various types of particulate reinforcements of both metallic and non-metallic in Aluminium base metals or alloys are denoted as Aluminium Metal Matrix Composites or simply called as AMMCs. These have tremendous attributes that they can be tailor made with respect to their achievable...

The improvement of exhaust emission and engine performance in terms of fuel economy depends on the understanding of combustion process in IC Engines on cycle to cycle basis. It also helps to improve engine stability. Two port injected SI engines were analyzed for cycle to cycle variation in combustion to know the effect of initial combustion processes on the following combustion. For different equivalent ratios the correlation between IMEP and pressures almost showed same trends but with...

Estimation of fatigue life was carried out on TIG welded joints of TI6AL4V cruciform shape using S-N curve applying fracture mechanics approach for predicting propagation of cracks. Fatigue tests are carried out with stress ratio R =0.1, considering the constant amplitude and frequency 10HZ using 100 KN servo hydraulic universal testing machine.   Fatigue tests, tensile tests and hardness tests revealed that a convex shape, weld joint is having better performance when compared to others...

Ever since the spurt in oil prices half a century ago, the focus of automobile designers has been on conservation of fuel. Weight reduction, an important method in this direction, also influences noise level, vibration and ride comfort. Vehicle vibration is essentially a function of road surface profile, vehicle speed and most importantly suspension system. In the present work, mono-composite leaf spring with modified E Glass/epoxy using rubber powder as filler material is designed and analyzed...

Marine environments are fundamental to recognize the constraints that decide their condition. Posidonia and seagrasses apply for impressive work in shielding the coastline from disintegration. In these ranges, numerous creatures and living beings live and discover the prairie nourishment and the security against predators. It is viewed as a bioindicator of the nature of beachfront marine waters. It is vital to screen them and keep up these environmental groups as spotless as could reasonably be...

The paper attempts to quantify the changing structure of Indian grapes exports. Data for analysis was taken for a period of 10 years from 2005-06 to 2014-15. The major Indian grape export markets were categorized as stable markets (Bangladesh, others, U.K, Netherlands ) and unstable markets ( UAE, Russia, ) based on the magnitude of transition probabilities. The major export markets for Indian grapes are Bangladesh ( 62.34 % ), others ( 54.17 % ) UK (50.88 %), Netherlands (25.61 %). India can...

Haemolymph of silkworm plays a very essential role in its development. GEN-3, a pure bivoltine race was selected for the current study. Fifth instars of GEN-3 race were chosen randomly and fed with mulberry leaves treated with vitamin C and vitamin E separately. The haemolymph protein content was extracted and variations were recorded. It was found that the silkworms treated with vitamin C exhibited better result than vitamin E and high yield was noticed throughout the developmental period.

For marine use, outward compressors are found just on circulating air through and cooling commitments, as they are not adequately versatile for the extent of working conditions essential for payload operations. However some modification of farthest point is required despite for circulating air through and cooling commitments, and a standout amongst the best techniques for diminishing cut-off is by the use of portable channel oversee valves. Distinctive methodologies fuse use of a damper valve...
