( james ) prosecutors say a navy petty officer was upset and intoxicated when his truck slammed into a barrier and ended up crashing into a crowd...killing four people. the trial for 27-year-old richard sepolio started yesterday. he is facing 13 charges including gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, and reckless driving causing injury. the incident happened on the coronado bridge in october of 2016. the people killed in the crash were attending a rally celebrating motorycles when the truck flew over the bridge wall. prosecutors say sepolio was on arguing with his girlfriend on the phone 44 seconds before the first 911 call was made about the incident.
