reggie: thank you. it has happened again, a shooting on an oakland freeway claimed the life of another person. this morning the california highway patrol is looking for the person who started shooting during the morning rush hour interstate 80 on the approach to the bay bridge toll plaza. according to authorities a man, woman, and two children were driving westbound on i-80 east when the shooting happened. the woman was in the right front passenger seat and was killed. the male driver and both children were uninjured. it is unclear who shot the suv and whether this was targeted or random. this is the latest deadly freeway shooting in oakland and drivers are not only outraged, they are fearful that they will be targeted. it has been ongoing since the pandemic started and it creates a lot of anger. i do not like driving on the road, every day you are putting yourself at risk. >> it is dangerous, you never know if someone will drive up next to you or do whatever. you accidentally cut someone off, you are i

reggie: a live reggie: the city of kenosha, wisconsin, on edge ahead of today's closing arguments in the murder trial of kyle rittenhouse. he is facing homicide charges after shooting and killing two people during police protests over the shooting and killing of jacob blake. jobina: the governor of wisconsin is deploying about 500 national guard troops to kenosha. rittenhouse is on trial for shooting three people, killing two of them during protests last year during the police shooting of jacob blake. rin has claimed self-defense, saying he was in kenosha to protect businesses. prosecutors have portrayed him as a violent vigilante who instigated the deadly chain of events that night. on friday, they asked if they could submit lesser charges against him, something the judge indicated he will allow. legal analysts say that is a sign prosecutors are not confident of a conviction on the more serious charges, which carry a life sentence. >> he is allowing the jury to say that if you believe kyle rittenhouse provoked this, then that is going to make self-defense very hard for you to invoke

reggie? reggie: on vaccine watch this morning. what could be a pivotal day when it comes to vaccinating kids ages five to 11. a cdc panel will meet on whether to recommend the pfizer vaccine for that age group. the head of the cdc could sign off on that recommendation tonight. amy hollyfield is in walnut creek with what parents can expect in the bay area. amy? amy: good morning. you can start checking pharmacies as soon as tomorrow for the shot if the approval comes today. pharmacies like cvs have said they have been gearing up for this and they are ready to give those shots as soon as they have permission from federal health officials. counties are also getting ready. the cdc could give that ok today. it is reviewing pfizer's version, which is a lower dose than that given to adults. the white house says 15 million doses have started shipping out ahead of this ruling. counties are getting prepared as well, they will have clinics for kids, and are hoping five to 11-year-olds will start arriving soon. >> we are waiting on the shipme
