so this was a very lengthy and thorough opinion by the appellate panel in d.c. that said basically congress does have the authority and the context of the impeachment inquiry that they're conducting to request not directly from trump himself but to request from the accountants, from the third party that homelands his tax records, that they have to provide them to congress pursuant to a subpoena. it's really a case that gets to fundamental constitutional issues of the scope of congress's authority to subpoena information in the context of an inquiry, a and the two judges t ruled against the president's team that was trying to challenge this, they really pointed to the authority that congress has and says that the administration can't force congress to have to take a vote to be able to provide these documents. the president's team does have the choice to appeal it. they tend to be wanting to appeal things and wanting to push things as far as they can, so i wouldn't be surprised if he tries to push this up to the supreme court. >> carrie cordero, thank you so much.
