. >>> the stanford track team's charter bus went up in flames in seattle this afternoon. luckily, everybody on board escaped without injury. our reporter is live at stan tord with their story. carlos? >> reporter: larry, behind me is where the team practices when they're on campus, but they were away when the bus they were in caught fire. the team's bus, seen here in flames, sitting underneath a ramp on interstate 5 in seattle. everyone on board made it out before the fire and smoke overtook the chaert bus. the athletes enroute to a track meet. >> all of a sudden we heard a pop that sounded like a gunshot and we pulled to the side of the road and noticed smoke. >> reporter: once everyone made it out, they were left stranded on the highway. we face timed with two of the team's pole vaulters afterwards. >> it was calm afterwards, but we realized all of our stuff was under the bus. then we were like, that's like our uniform and shoes. but everything made it out, so we were lucky. >> reporter: after 2 1/2 hours, the team was transported to the university of washington campus
