this protest started at oakland tech and was supposed to end up at the oakland police department but now we have speakers on the back of a flatbed truck speaking right in front of city hall. bear with me as i turn the camera around for just a minute . i show you the scene that we have here. we are still right here near broadway and franco plaza. you can see all of the people that are gathered here. the speaker is over on top of a flatbed truck. this has been a very peaceful protest all afternoon. thousands of people out here in oakland, they say they are demanding justice for george and everyone el before him. what was really interesting is one of the speakers actually said if you are here for anything other than justice you need to leave. everyone is stressing the importance of keeping this peaceful. the area saw quite a bit of violence and looting a couple of nights ago. the graffiti and broken glass very evident among the protesters here today. but again, very, very peaceful scene here in oakland today. the police presence has been minimal. it will be interesting to see what happe
