i provided examples of things we've done in north carolina. we have a price catching case that is pending that we have against a towing company that was charging thousands and thousands of dollars. booting trucks that weather delivering goods. charging amounts that were we out of line with market rates. we sued that company in a price gouging case. there are a number of cases including scams that we've nipped in the bud. one thing that i want to note here, to use a technical term, is the whack-a-mole nature of some of these scams. the true scammers don't want to be found, and they hide themselves. they make it difficult to be located. once the scam has been enacted and they strike they disappear quickly so that they can't be tracked down. that's the reality of some of these criminal scams that have been going on. one of the things that this points out is the importance of educating consumers here trying to make consumers informed. make them less likely to fall for the scams. if you can prevent consumers from sending their money away, especiall
