Join us for a magical evening of music and dance as we kick off our LIVE STREAM summer concert series "Fiesta music and dance Fridays". Bringing our community together while staying apart. He will be joined by Bassist Santino Tarfarella and Percussionist El "Lalo" Smith. During intermission we will be treated to dances by the 2020 Spirit and Junior Spirit of Fiesta. Tony Ybarra: Flamenco Latino Guitarist Santino Tafarella: Bassist Ed "Lalo" Smith: Percussion Born in Santa Barbara, California, Tony Ybarra has been playing music his whole life.Tony is an active, sought out guitarist and recording artist in many styles and he is recognized as an authority in Flamenco and Latin styles. His music has been featured in movies, TV shows and commercials. He has recorded 6 albums under his own name and recorded music for the Compass label which has been featured across the United States. Santino Tafarella has toured with the grammy award winning “Bob Mintzer Big Band”. He has also played and toured cross country with Los Angeles based hard bop guitarist Bruce Forman. Santino was the bassist of USC’s Thornton Jazz Orchestra, which won first place at the Monterey Jazz Festival. Santino hones his skills as a composer, arranger and instrumentalist at the USC Thornton School of Music. Santino performs regularly between the Los Angeles and Santa Barbara area as an in demand bassist. Ed “Lalo” Smith is an experienced Drummer/Percussionist/Composer/Music Producer with a demonstrated history of working in the music industry. He has recorded Drums and Percussion on over 200 CDs for various artists and ensembles. Skilled in Drums, Bass, Piano, and Songwriting. He’s an incredible music professional who graduated from San Jose State University. He has collaborated with Tony for over 16 years.
