Note: "Some of the Douglas-fir tussock moth infested areas in Okanogan County were used for a Forest Service study to evaluate the efficacy of an aerially applied biodegradable formulation of Douglas-fir tussock moth mating disruption pheromone. In late July 2009, the pheromone was applied to six 40-acre test plots in infested areas in the Methow Valley, on Palmer Mountain, and east of Oroville, Washington."
