BLUE SAUSAGE INFANT is the work of Chester Hawkins of Washington DC. Since 1986, BSI has produced music that combines aspects of noise, drone, Krautrock, sample-plundering, dark ambient, and kosmische electronica to produce a multi-layered feast for the brain. Hawkins describes his music as "mean-spirited euphoria," a complex breed of long-form psychedelia with a hint of paranoia to augment the bliss... "Confessions of a Rogue Taxidermist" is a collection of live tracks....

Pat Gillis began performing as TL0741 in January 2005, presenting structured improvisations on analogue modular synthesizer and effects combined with pre-recorded material. The sounds of TL0741’s alchemical multiverse arise from everywhere: nocturnal insects, incomprehensible voicemails, obscure antique pornos, treated instruments and decontextualized / processed location recordings. Synthesizers are persistently exploited for drones, unstable automata and inharmonic gestures harnessed from...

Not One Nor presents two works made of discrete events foregrounding the materiality of a large string instrument in its role as a resonating chamber. Both pieces are constructed out of a limited number of gestures and/or pitches and points on the instrumentâs geography with the intention of producing an immersion in sound as material, interspersed with contrasting pauses. ALPHORN IN THE ALPS, WITH WATER AND METAL 5 solos from a weekend in September 1994 at Arte Sella, an outdoor art festival in Borgo Valsugana, Italy----towards the end of a near 20yearlong period of a daily personal spiritual practice with music; though using a variety of media they fit into the general series of improvisations i called Withinstascys----of which the constant is a willed absence of prethought ideas, keeping the body-mind in a moment-to-moment awareness of present ârightnessâ....

xedh is Miguel a. García from Spain. From the artist's notes about this piece: "It's somehow curious to watch in an almost unconscious way how links generate themselves, in this case between people/sounds connected by their escape from more established shapes. The hidden face of one of the most active characters of the most extreme german industrial music, a french critic-poet with the rediscovered sin of youth, and a living legend among the Iberian experimental music scene. Gameboydrice is a project of Eugene Voronovsky, also known for his work as Cisfinitum. "Selden" is the soundtrack for a film of the same name, which is based on the Hound of Baskervilles by Conan Doyle. The music has roots in old silent film scores, yet with some modern experimental twists. Exotica, plunderphonics, and sense of the absurd prevail throughout. http://www.myspace.com/cisfinitum

Three tracks recorded for a split cdr with Ecuador's noise king, Armenia. V. played drums, autoharp, and record players for a sonic assault on the mind.

This is collection of tracks spanning the life span of -1348- from 1983 to 1991 and was released on Staalplaat's Bake Records imprint. It includes the best tracks from several cassette only releases by Watergate Tapes. The music ranges from harsh noise to surrealist compositions.

This album is a live, unedited recording of an improvised session at the Deep Listening Institute in Kingston, NY on September 21, 2011. For this duo project, the musicians utilize acoustic materials and capture/transform one another's sound in an endless loop. Both use digital means; Van Nort tends to favor sculpting/stretching from small sound fragments, while Margolis often likes to make collages out of larger sound segments.

The Locus of Assemblage (UK) released this live document of v.'s tour of the US of A of March 2002. Uncomplicated grey industrial music with faltering drum patterns, drones, hums and skips. A constantly shifting performance with good clean live sound that hasn't lost any of it's sonic muscle. Tracklist: Marionetteater med Heroinoffer Hårboll i Badkar Puertorikansk Lerhydda Sötebröd

Andrey Kiritchenko (www.nexsound.org) is well known from his CD releases on Zeromoon, Adnauseum, and his own Nexsound imprint. Here he remixes a track from Second Violin's "Victoria", which was a live improvisation between Zan Hoffman on prepared drawer (a dresser drawer with wires and strings attached and filled with trash) and Jeff Surak on prepared violin (as depicted on the release cover). You can hear the original acoustic improv here:...

VZL was a one-off live studio collaboration between v., Zan Hoffman and Lampshade. Instead of releasing one mix of the recording, it was decided that each participant would do their own mix, creating 4 separate interpretations. Only the first 2 mixes were ever completed. This is the second version, a radical deconstruction of the material by Jeff Surak (v.). The instruments were bass guitar, drums, home instruments, type writer, toaster, and sampler.
