I was trying to ignore the age factor in my mind but 'tis so true. Thank God Betty White is immortal!! (i probably just jinxed her - oops)

The world still stands, but is a tad stooped out here in glorious western Massachusetts. Other than geography, things are going well - how 'bout with you Mr. Wordsmith? Been a long time (my fault for being so anti-social - lol)

Life could be better. In fact, it could be a lot better. Still, I'm not here to start bitching and complaining and I'm glad things are going well for you my old compadre,

But hey, isn't that list of names assembled for this thread a sight to gladden the heart of an old fart with a hankering for the forum's good old days? Looks like you put the band back together!

Wish things were better there across the pond - hope all is not too dire - we need things to smile about in our advancing ages.

I feel kinda like a corpse flower - takes me awhile to appear, but when I do all the old stodgy people come out and wonder what the fuck the awful smell is :)

Well it's about time the stodgy oldies (hey y'know you can take Ex Lax for that?) chased those young fuckers off our lawn. :-)

And still Cliff Richard lives. Is there no balance in this universe ?

Well I see where you're coming from, snoori, but Summer Holiday gets an awful lot of balancing points from me. (ok I was only six at the time but some things are character forming, y'know?)

Well I was ten, and precocious enough to admire Una Stubbs balancing points. Bringing down the tone I know, but Music Hall is still alive and well in the West.

Well I didn't know much about Una's finer points back then but I did know I wanted a London bus!

As to lowering the tone - have you actually read the rest of this thread? :-)

Good to hear from you my man. I knew you were from Mass but never knew that it was western mass. Where abouts if you don't mind me asking?

Hey Lobster :) currently reside in West Springfield - the ever so happy Pioneer Valley - lol - though I must admit, I really miss the Eastern part of the state where I am from. Either that or move further west to the Lenox area - I feel like I am stuck between the best parts of the state :)

Haha. Remember getting my skates sharpened at Bertelli's then waiting in the parking lot for soemone to buy me beer. Not sure if that place is eevn there anymore after the tornado.

Yup - it is still there on Main Street - being a shitty skater, I have never been there, but it does still stand. There is still damage from the tornado here and there - especially in the city, but the new MGM Casino construction is taking care of a lot of that (as well as causing so much delightful traffic issues on I-91)
