I'm going to go stream of consciousness and see what comes out:
DarkStar/Stephen/11 (thanks for making this one tune Rob);
Viola Lee;
Easy Wind (my favorite Pig song by 100 miles);
Brokedown;
Box of Rain;
the Other One;
Morning Dew;
Estimated/Eyes (if Rob can cheat, so can i!!!);
Stella Blue;
tied for 10th is everything else.
Since I threw out the worst line in history, I'll also throw out the best: dust off those rusty strings just one more time and make 'em shine...............

gotta agree - that one line almost MAKES that song - i go through periods where I can find the song tiresome (not to take away from its greatness), but even when it has played its course personally, that one line makes the listen just so worth it.

You know, if we can cherry pick lines, I just think that most any tune off Workingman's/Beauty can provide a few, ya know?

Really, DireWolf, NSWBoogie, so many to choose from...

That's of course why I am always on and on about that yr and those studio productions, in part.

you're so very right, but don't let it go to your head.
as soon as i typed it up i thought "how about every single word of Ripple instead?"
i think it comes from my live experience with Jerry only covering the last ten years of his life, when every night i saw him i was hoping he would dust off those rusty strings just ONE more time.........
i have had too much afternoon coffee and need to get off this forum!!!!

If we're talking about lines, I've always enjoyed the simple profundity of:

See here how everything
lead up to this day
and it's just like
any other day
that's ever been

Sometimes the sheer shoulder shrugging world weariness of that just says it all for me.

And a big old hi, hello, how are you, H&LS - don't believe we've conversed before.

If you're of a certain frame of mind it can get right under your skin and stay there. Some days I think it's just about the most heartbreaking line Hunter ever wrote.

Things can get to you and wear you down, doesn't matter how broad your shoulders are.

We need to sit down in a pub after knocking out a couple of miles on the Coast to Coast and throw back a few drams.

We've talked about it, I need to make it happen.

Hello Rob, i'm relatively new around here, but i'm one of the idiots who encourages SDH and WT in their juvenalia, So when they started throwing your name around with the obligatory sheep reference yet again, i've decided that what the hell, i might as well join the fun. as far as wordsmithing goes, how do you like "juvenalia"?

SDH and WT need no encouragement from you or from me. Juvenilia are a step up from genitalia. Not a big one mind you...
