Forum: forums Subject: JPG images of book fail to derive

In the past I've uploaded many scans of books based on JPG images, which then derived for display and page-turning. There was never a problem.

Recently I uploaded a similar book, and although close to a week has passed, and the page no longer says that it is undergoing "derive", this message still appears: "THERE IS NO PREVIEW AVAILABLE FOR THIS ITEM. This item does not appear to have any files that can be experienced on Archive.org."

Did I do something wrong in the upload? Or is there something that needs to be done to allow the display? The item is here:

Thank you!
I see that OZ folio 59b-60a Ch 16 (2).jpg does render an image in the upload. I checked the originals, and there the image appears to be OK, so I guess there was a problem with the upload.
Is it possible for me to replace that image without repeating the entire upload?

since it is inside a zip you'd need to upload a replacement zip.

OK, so I went to "edit" > "change the files in my item", deleted the zip file and uploaded a new one.
In the new one that file renders properly (and I presume the rest as well).
Do I need to do anything further?

Thanks. Please note that the item page does not say that it is undergoing "derive". The "history" is red ("waiting for admin").

Ok, so I'll check that file and replace the zip file.

Yes, I see that this time, that image doesn't render properly.
Just now I went through each and every original JPG image in my own files to make sure that it renders properly. Then I used a different computer and a different zip program to compress them. I replaced the zip file in the item with the new one just now.
I would be grateful if you could let me know whether all of the images render properly this time, and if the "derive" can now take place.
Thanks so much for your amazing help thus far!

PS Note that the item still doesn't say that it is currently performing "derive".

Thanks so, so much! The images are great.
I still need to make changes in terms of page progression, title page, better PDF, and one-page view. That will require another "derive". Is that likely to cause any problems, now that the original images themselves are correctly uploaded?
