generally speaking if you have a privately curated collection we would need permission for the uploader to include the item(s) in your collection. we prefer to keep items is a single hierarchy of collections rather than having it in multiple peer collections.

Thank you, Jeff. Related to this is a favorites page.
An individual @user account has a fav-user page, which can list links to other items and collections. But it appears that a collection does not have such a mechanism. Is this correct -- a collection does not have a mechanism for linking to other items and collections? (Not talking about html links in description fields.) no but you can put links to other collection in your collection's description field.
