After having some issues with blocked drainage I experimented with some sieve designs. For our specific shower drain from Viega (Tempoplex Plus) this works very well. In previous designs the sieve only covered the inner drainage, but a smaller sieve gets blocked more easily. If you print it in white, it is still hardly visible with the lid on. The middle pipe serves as handle and overflow protection.

Did you already have fun with the duplo marble run (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:159219)? Then you are ready for much more fun and challenge! Extend your marble run with a marble pump inspired by the great work of Matthias Wandel (http://woodgears.ca/marbles/lifter.html). Push up marbles using the lever. (No motor.) The drop-block mechanism prevents the marbles from falling back. Please read the instructions. OpenSCAD files are included. See marble pump in action:...

Create your army of snake minifigs! This is a bottom part snake tail for lego minifigures to be used as foot replacement. Inspired by Lego Ninjago "Year of the snake" and the Lego Medusa minifigure. Makes use of the bezier library by William A Adams, (see http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8483). I've rendered two versions with different tail-size. Have fun!

One car fits on the rail for the turntable and can be turned in any of 6 directions. Optionally I also provided short straight and curved pieces to allow easier connecting to other ends. The turntable-ring is a bit larger than a standard track piece which might cause some "tight" connections with standard tracks. For an electric powered train the turntable might not seem to be such a good thing because you need to give it constant attention, but my son loved it nevertheless or just...

My son wanted an ant, but I didn't find a nice printable one, so I created one myself. And since he liked the result I made a spider too. (OpenScad-sources are downloadable too.)

My first [Door open holder](http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:129444) worked fine, except that the door would bounce back if I pushed it open with momentum. This second version doesn't bounce back as easily. OpenSCAD source is provided.

A physically instructive toy. Heavily inspired by Lego Ninjago Airjitzu toys and Beyblade (all trademarks are the property of their respective owners). The spinning top consists of 4 parts. The axis with the gear is compatible with the Lego Ninjago Airjitzu toys. The disk consists of two identical halves that allow you to insert up to 6 coins (5 Euro-cent) for more momentum. The bottom cone should fit tightly on the axis, but could also be screwed on with a M3x30 screw or you could just use...

We have a ventilation system in our house. From time to time we want to make sure that it still supplies us with the correct amount of fresh air. A professional air flow measurement system is quite expensive. But by using a cheap anemometer you can achieve the same result. With the funnel and the adapter all the air from an outlet flows through the anemometer. It shows the wind speed v in m/s. To calculate the air flow in m³/h we need the area A=pi*(d/2)². My anemometer has d=2.5 cm. A=4.9E-4...

We mislaid our Twistpad 00614176 (of our Neff stove top). We didn't know how to cook without it! (It took us quite a while to find out that the instructions provided a workaround.) A day later we found it again (in the freezer!). But now I wanted to be prepared for the next time! With the original Twistpad and a little magnet you can easily feel yourself that there are seven magnetic poles. One in the center, and six in a radial distance of about 13 mm. After a few experiments I found that the...

This robot figure uses old fashioned screws to achieve flexible joints, but instead of nuts I prefer to let the screws cut their own threads. This robot was inspired by http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:331035.

I had a problem with my doors closing by themselves or when the wind blew etc. The classic door stopper objects (lying on the floor) didn't work. (My children took them away every time.) My idea was that an upside down hook could hold the door by the doorhandle. The 45 degrees version allows a round doorhandle with 20 mm diameter to slip on and off easily. For the 90 degrees version you have to push the doorhandle to hook on or unhook. The edges and corners are rounded. Not only for nice feel...

Wearing a face mask with glasses often makes the glasses go all foggy. The design by KrwawyHegemon helped me a lot: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4303905 I made an OpenSCAD file to allow adjustments to fit my nose and face. (Look at variables nose_height, nose_width, clip_total_width to adjust to your face.) With the clip the mask fits me so snugly that when inhaling the mask gets pulled directly on my nostrils and mouth, making breathing uncomfortable. For this reason I added the second...

A customizable sphere puzzle. Inspired by the Wikipedia logo. You can put a letter or text on every piece of the sphere. In the customizer you can select from those fonts that are also available in the write.scad thing (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:16193) There are some pieces ready for download, but you can use the customizer to create pieces with your own text, or size etc. Also read the instructions. Update 2015-03-20: Now my sphere is finished. I've added some more pieces.

Our fridge door sometimes doesn't close completely. To become aware of a not correctly closed door immediately (instead of after a night) I created this open-door-detector. As a side effect you also get a beep-notification when making your choice while the door is open takes too long ;-) The door open detection is done by a micro switch. It closes on opening the door and thereby provides power to the circuit which contains an Arduino based microcontroller (ATmega328) and a spare piezo speaker....
