Gundam is a huge toy/anime franchise in Japan about giant battle robots. And because it's so big (the franchise), there were tons of Gundam based video games. Episode 125 focuses on those games. The boys pick some fun tracks and talk about C&C Music Factory. More like B&R Music Factory though, right? Or maybe B&F Music Factory.

Female protagonist video games is the topic of Episode 142. That is, games in which a female character is the main character and does not share the primary spotlight with any male characters. Popular game company Capcom is the focus of Episode 84. So many games, so much music, where does one start? Founded relatively late in the video game world (1983), Capcom certainly had a hefty roster of female composers, more so than any other company at the time, and so this episode is almost a celebration of women in video game music as well a company focus. Brent and Rob explore a lot of the more obscure Capcom titles, but throw in a couple Mega Man tracks for good measure. Also, even though...

Just kidding on that last one. Great, great music in this episode. Konami is one of the best companies to explore when it comes to video game music. Brent and Rob put out some real positive energy in this episode of The Legacy Music Hour, which focuses on toys. That is, music from video games based on toys and toylines, as well as games and game stages that are toy-themed. It all ends up being a sort of focus on Barbie, kind of like how ducks became the focus of the Cartoons episode. Pink was the new black, now Barbie is the new duck. Also, Rob performs a rap! And best of all, there's tons of positivity.

In Episode 91, Brent and Rob focus on music from video games based on cartoons, but it ends up being much more of a focus on ducks. Episode 91 is basically the duck episode. Solid, solid episode. Seriously, the music is soooo good this week. Every track is great. The focus is "elevator" music, which means music that's sort of jazzy, sort of synthy, jazz fusiony, 80's-y, TV show themey, hold musicy, sort of cheesy, sort of smooth, and even kind of sexy. It's the best. Also, Brent really gets down with a track from Quartet, showing off some luscious vocal stylings. Check it out.

For Episode 129, Brent and Rob focus only on titles which were released the last year their respective consoles released licensed games, exploring the way composers approached working with old hardware. But this episode is kind of a mess for a few different reasons. For one, the boys didn't have microphones and had to make do with a very poor quality substitution. Two, it's complicated when deciding the last year of a console's life span, and this is addressed very confusingly in the episode....

The focus of Episode 57 is the TurboGrafx-16 (and PC Engine -AND the SuperGrafx). Brent and Rob choose only music from this marginalized console.

Asiatic sounding video game music tracks are all the rage of Episode 137. Good music here. Brent and Rob try to crack the mystery of "Kenny's Song". Also, Brent's new friend makes a return visit, and Rob and Brent get a work out.
