This is a 3-D printed keel for the Valenta Fredie Mini Dragon slope soarer. The original kit comes with a plywood sheet that bonds in. This is a smarter version with better bonding area and provides dedicated mount for MG 90 rudder servo and hole for a 20mm OD ballast tube.

I found the inner hole diameter slightly too tight to fit my gimbals (this may be down to ABS shrinkage and printer calibration). This remixed version of Destelant's original work opens the inner hole up slightly and adds a mild chamfer to aid the fit.

Files to modify an X-Lite transmitter for accessibility reasons. Left hand joystick removed and replaced with a blank. Wiring extended through the side of the case with a TPU grommet and terminated in Multiplex plug and TPU holder. New left-hand joystick housing and foam padded hand rest mounted on a 12 mm OD T-Rex carbon boom. Multiplex plug goes in the bottom of this new housing. Second hand rest on right hand side, also using carbon boom... both booms collapse inwards to reduce size for...

Angel Wing Designs created a fantastic little discus launch glider (DLG) weighing in at around 100g. Called the 'PUG', it's available as an easy build kit here: https://www.angelwingdesigns.co.uk/collections/dammit By removing the nose block and inserting a plywood firewall, it can be converted to motor assist using a small 160 mAh 2S Lipo and quadcopter motor. To make it all look pretty, and streamline the motor, these two parts create a cowl and clip-on spinner. The cowl is simply bonded on...

This thing sticks over the four trim buttons on the Jeti transmitters to make it easier to find the trim switches in flight. Use 4 round double-sided adhesive tape pads on the buttons and stick this on top. One for each joystick. There are two different styles; the first one is the same shape as the part they remix from, whereas the second is a little fatter. Choose the one you prefer, and print two off. Inspired by the original Thingiverse part, but made to better fit the styling of the...

Small clip you can glue in place (or merge into your design) to help tidy up RC servo wires. It's sized to fit the wire gauge used on smaller servos (around 9g), but it's quick to print, so just try it and scale accordingly.

An experiment in printing hollow arms and a monocoque chassis for a very light weight, indoor brushed quadcopter. I was aiming for the strength/crashability of my lightweight Gnat design, but with improved stiffness and handling. Designed to be printed in PETG with 7 X 20 mm motors, a recycled Nano QX flight board and 300mAh 1S Lipos. It will take most of the 25 mW cameras/transmitters combos on the market. I seriously doubt this will work in ABS or PLA, but in PETG it has flown successful...

Currently experimenting with a low-cost pop-up greenhouse as a way of improving temperature control around the large Tevo tornado frame without the need for a full closure. Clearly, potential fire risk so try this at your own peril, but this part creates a neat route through the side of the PVC greenhouse for your filament – there's not really much room for the filament inside the enclosure. Greenhouse available from Amazon (among other sources) for around £20:...

Designed for a 70mm OD, 10mm thick Qi charger like the blue ringed Qumox, this is a landscape desk cradle for a Google Nexus 6. The arms attach using an octagonal fitting allowing the angle to be changed (note the 'spanner' ends are different to give a greater range of adjustment); in theory you can get increments of 11.25 degrees.

I'm was not prepared to pay $60 plus for a simple push-button to connect to my Xbox adaptive controller so I designed my own... These can be made as a single button, or a gang of two. They require one mono 3.5 mm jack per switch (I buy a double ended extension and cut in half) and a low cost switch. I use a piece of cut 3 mm carbon rod as the axle, but an M3 bolt would work just as well. EBay links to these items below:...

Experimental TPU battery strap – rather than using rubber bands or a Velcro strap on Tiny Whoop/toothpick builds, I came up with this idea of a printable stretchy strap. Pull it nice and tight around the pack and get the teeth to engage into the holes. Seems to grip very well, and incredibly strong – far more so than rubber bands.

After buying an EasythreeD Nano printer as a desktop bit of fun, I realised it really needs mini spools to hold the filament. These parts allow you to construct a spool with multiple reels, ideal for small runs of trial filament. These will not print on the EasythreeD printer, but are small (120mm x 120mm).

I loved the quadcopter TX keychain by Mike-vorn-Mars (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2548116), but wanted an FrSky inspired version: This is a stylised Horus, X10 or Q7... you decide. It's designed to be printed as four pieces, 1 x TX, 1 x display, 2 x sticks. Sticks should freely gimbal if your printer tolerances are okay (may need gentle persuasion by pressing from the back). We painted the on/off button in red.

A friend only likes flying "pinch" style on the TX, so I made this stick replacement. I loved the original Jinx look... it was stunning for a TinkerCAD design. But I wanted to streamline it and rework it into a stiff monocoque chassis in 123D Design. It has 2204 motors, DYS SN16 ESC and runs 4 x 4.5, Tri-blade Bullnose DAL props. Naze32 rev 6. and Eachine camera and vTx. Arms are held on with M3 x 25mm...

There is a growing trend in 250 racers to deliberately cant the motors forward so here is my take on the r.250's arms made like this. There are left and right side arms each with a 10 degree wedge, plus optional, handed landing gear. Note, each part has an L or R etched in it - in the case of the arm and wedge, this is the top face of the part.

Split the original design into two parts to optimise layer strength. Print as perimeters only to maximise the camera yoke strength. Superglue the two parts together and bind with a small amount of cotton for added strength. Trimmed a small amount of the frame away around the camera hole to make for easier installation.

The result is this Gnat QX, with the frame weighing in at a mere 3g. AUW without pack is 24g, 6g heavier than stock. Power is exceptional in comparison...
