This is a customizable scotch yoke. You can learn some more about how this model was made and a little about the physics behind the resulting motion of this mechanism here: http://artofrandomness.net/blogs/matts-blog/scotch-yoke-mechanism/ Parameters should be straightforward to get what you want out of the file.

Hey all! This is an enclosure for my Daft Punk Desk Toy project. More details can be found at my blog here: http://artofrandomness.net/matts-blog/daft-punk-desk-toy/ It would be better to make the enclosure out of say a laser cut or router acrylic or plywood but I thought this would be pretty cool and its fun to play! Special thanks to andyways for their amazing Daft Punk Helmets! You can find those below: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:95504 http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:94603

Here is my OpenSCAD Geneva Mechanism. Its a basic intermittent motion mechanism. There are a few other versions that other people have made but as far as I had found none have been customizable. The parameters should be pretty simple to understand. Enjoy! You can see my post about this on my website here: http://artofrandomness.net/projects/geneva-mechanism/ .

This is the ratchet model from 507 Mechanical Movements: http://507movements.com/mm_075.html You will need a 3/8" dowel and 2x 1" #6 sheet metal screws. It is best to assemble everything on the dowel, pilot drill through handle and moving pawls hole, screw screws in, and cut the dowel ends flush. Some filing will be necessary to get the stop pawl to fit. See my blog post about this here: http://artofrandomness.net/blogs/matts-blog/ratchet-model-maychanisms-1/...

This is the Mechanical Shears model from 507 Mechanical Movements: http://507movements.com/mm_130.html You will need a 5/16" dowel, 4x 5/8" #6 screws, 2x 1/4" #6 screws, and a rubber band. The crank, nut, and cams all have a flat on one side so shave or sand off a bit of that dowel. Try to make it fit as snug as possible. It is best to assemble everything on the dowel, pilot drill through handle, nut, and base, screw screws in, and cut the dowel ends flush. See my blog post about...

Battery feet for my battery rack project found here: http://artofrandomness.net/blogs/matts-blog/matts-shop/power-tool-battery-holder/ The models labeled skeleton should be printed with supports. The models labeled solid are the same geometry without the holes on the angle portion. These were designed in inches so scale up 25.4 on your slicer.

*EDITED 12/18/17* I noticed the discs came out the wrong sizes when printing. All is fixed now This is a simple puzzle. You move one disk at a time from one peg to another and you cannot put a larger disk on a smaller. You can customize your puzzle with the size and number of disks. If you would like to read my post about this see the following URL: http://artofrandomness.net/blogs/matts-blog/the-tower-of-hanoi-puzzle/
