This project seeks to explore the experiences of ‘well’ siblings of people with serious mental illness, with a focus on personal loss and protective family relationships. The research aims to examine what individual and family factors predict well-being and emotion processes for the well sibling. In addition, this study will investigate what family variables are protective against the negative impacts of having a sibling with serious mental illness.
