The purpose of this study is to examine whether Army operational terms apply to an air battle. The Air Force mission is to gain air supremacy and, by doing this, it indirectly supports the Army. Once air superiority is established, the Air Force directly supports the Army by air resupply and ground attack. It is important that Air Force officers understand and be able to apply the terms and ideas ground commanders will be using. Common terminology leads to common understanding and can prevent...

A small, battery-powered fan heater charged with dry-ice was used in the air space of a casualty bag. The cooling power averaged less than 50 watts. In a hot environment, more than twice this cooling power is needed. When the carbon dioxide was allowed to leak into the airspace the concentration rose to a level that would be uncomfortable but not toxic.

Since World War II the United States has yielded many of its policy decisions to the desires of the United States military. These policy decisions reach from nylon and aluminum restrictions for the war efforts of World War II through the tough military build-up policies of the 1980s amidst fiscal constraints. In the 11 years since September 11, 2001, the U.S. government has put forth extensive efforts to protect the nation's aviation sector and airspace. These efforts include air sovereignty alert (ASA) operations, for which the Air Force provides personnel and fully fueled, fully armed aircraft sitting on constant alert at 18 sites across the United States. In 2009, GAO found shortcomings in the Department of Defense's (DoD) management of ASA operations, leading to a number of GAO recommendations....

So, I was challenged to find the dead air behind an object. Not that hard right? Well, here's the catch, I can only use what I can find in shop class. Fortunately for me, there is a 3D printer, a leaf blower, some wood, spare vex parts, and a digitizer there. All I needed now was a photogate! I'll explain more later on. But in short, what I am showing here is the adapter I made for the leaf blower ensure equal fair flow across the wooden wind tunnel. In short, we have a 3 axis arm that has a...
