There is no scientific evidence for the efficacy and effects imputed to psychedelics. Very few placebo-controlled clinical trials have been conducted and none of them showed promising results. Psychedelics may end up being another class of anti-depressants. Can psychedelics cure Narcissistic Personality Disorder? This claim is unmitigated nonsense. Narcissism is an all-pervasive, complex psychological condition that permeates and comprises every facet of the personality and all cognitions and...

CRISPR-Cas9 is an enzyme that is used to 'snip' portions of DNA so Scientists can replace it with strands of their own. Originally discovered in Bacteria and used to fight viruses, it is used on the front of advancements in the Genetic field. It has been used already to treat originally incurable diseases, and hopes are that this will lead to a cure for cancer. I will make an STL version in the future I am going to hang this on my wall, I like biomolecular engineering.

A cheap and effective method for taking photos of Coomassie/silver-stained SDS-PAGE gels is to use a light box and a cardboard box with a hole cut out from the bottom. It's like a home-made gel doc just for Coomassie/silver-stained gels. The box blocks almost all external light from reaching the gel for a nice clear image without reflections (such as those from overhead fluorescent lighting common in laboratories). This 3D design is to replace the cardboard box which is absorbant, lacks...

The feet on some Thermo Fisher magnetic stirrer models are very short. As a result, liquids (especially salt-rich water) can cause corrosion and electrical safety issues when there are inevitable spills. This object is a stand for the magnetic stirrers in our laboratory with four "pillars" designed so that the feet of the magnetic stirrers fit snugly inside, effectively raising the height of the stirrer by about 3 centimetres above the bench. This model should be compatible with...

Mislabeling and misidentifying internal dynamics is a common cognitive distortion among cluster B patients. Self-deceiving mental artifacts and self-gaslighting are the hallmarks of several personality disorders, including Narcissistic and Borderline. Consider, for example the interpersonal dimension. The personality disordered are totally incapable of any intimacy and of any emotions whatsoever in sex and, more generally, with people. They habitually confuse dependency, limerence, novelty,...

Dr. Erique Lukong grins, pointing to two bracelets on his wrist. Upon graduating from high school, he won an eight-year government scholarship to master both biochemistry and French linguistics. \"They were looking for technical and...

The word 'overwhelm' might be one that's all too familiar these days! When you think of overwhelm, you're probably thinking of everything you've got on your plate right now - stress, busy schedules, chores, work, and more. But did you know that a lot of overwhelm can actually come from within? Just ask Dr. Libby Weaver, an internationally acclaimed nutritional biochemist, author and speaker, with 14 years of study and 20 years of practice behind her. Needless to say, I am honoured (and maybe a...
