*this is a completed project. It is running successfully on my own printer and does not need any further refinement.* These are simple badges for your Folgertech printer or specifically, a Folgertech FT-6 if you want both badges. They are purely cosmetic and serve no function. Print at 0.2mm layer height and pause/change filament as soon as layer 5 finishes printing if you ant the two-tone effect and don't have dual extrusion.

While looking for a good heatsink and nozzle cooling solution that would still allow fitment of a BLTouch on my FT-5 I came across a couple great ideas. Bringing them all together was the only problem... What you see here is a combination/collaboration of 3 great designs you can check out in the remix section to the side. Looking for a good part cooling solution for your Folgertech FT-5 with BMG / E3DV6 combo? Well look no further! What we have here is a modular solution with main body which...

This is a kit to help with the noise in the parts in Ft-6 prints The problem I ran into is that the Two motor breakout board for X axis seems to backfeed power between the two motors and adds noise in the print and limits the speed This can cause you to have to have larger than necessary retracts that can lead to jams mod requires a 5 driver board and Blinkingsun's Y carriage so you can run both X motors independently with the makerbot limit switch with m3 hardware The pulleys replace one belt...

Bracket to replace parts FT3, FT26, and optionally the ends of FT17 and FT18 while also allowing room to add some 2028 corner brackets for additional structural rigidity. Uses standard skateboard bearings (608ZZ). Can either be used with the bearings and idler pulley that came with the FT5, or cut an 8mm rod to length and upgrade to a pulley with an 8mm bore. If you use the stock idler stack, you'll need to remove one or both of the spacers. I removed both of the 3mm spacers and replaced them...

After struggling to put the horizontal aluminum extrusions in without the tnuts rotating, I thought there should be a better way to do this. Since I have a 3d printer already, I started looking at an easier way to do this with an additional plastic part. I did have to run several test prints to get this tnut support to a nice fit. The little raised metal between the t-nuts holds this in place & the plastic part keeps the t-nuts in the correct orientation while assembling. It was quite easy...

FolgerTech FT-5 Dual Extrusion Modifications using two E3D v6 and Titans. Here is my FT-5 endstop. The stock endstop is pretty bad. I went for a solid yet simple design. I made sure it was easy to print, solid so that it will give good repeatable layer heights, and print with no support material. EDIT: This mount is now being recommended for use in the dual-Z mod. This is a remix of [printingotb](https://www.thingiverse.com/printingotb/about)'s [OptiCooler](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2927210) for the Folger Tech FT-5. I am running the 713Maker Ultralight carrier with the stock MK9 hotend for now, but it may also work with the Titan Aero extruder. The fan bracket simply mounts to the extruder stepper itself on the bottom two screw. Remove the screws and replace with 5mm longer screws. You may need a washer or 2. I also recommend printing the arms...

11/15 Added a version of the extruder mount for use with an SN04-N inductive sensor. 11/2 updated "extruder mount.stl and .f3d" with a new, stronger, version. These are some parts that I designed to work with TK Ward’s CoreXY conversion parts for the Folgertech FT-5, the Bondtech BMG-M extruder, Slice Engineering Mosquito hot end, and BLTouch Z-probe. With the X-rail mounts, as they were in the kit that I got, placed the hot end too high for the build plate to have enough z-travel...

The stock cooling for the FT-5 is both loud AND inadequate. I made this up to get my printer to near-silent levels while substantially lowering temperatures for both the stepper drivers and the power supply. Print 2 of these, and they will slightly overlap each other, which is why they are as thin as they are. use the M5x10 bolts and t-nuts like you would usually use on the stock back plate. Install 2 120mm fans, 1 to push, and 1 to pull. If you want, you can remove the top case of the power...

This is a modification of the FT 5 to use 2x 8mm smooth chrome rods and 2x linear bearings instead of the rails that come standard with the kit. This modification only affects the Y-axis motion, the X axis remains a rail based movement. I was having binding issues and Y axis skipping from excessive friction on the rails. I find this to be much smoother motion and generally quieter. This modification requires only minimal hardware and new parts. You will need 2x 8mm smooth chrome rods 400mm-ish...

I was working on finding a way to strengthen the frame of my FT-5 as well as making sure it was properly spaced between the top rail and the "Middle" rail (Which is supposed to have a gap of 170 mm between the two) and loved what Folgertech did to the FT-6 to help further "Idiot-proof" the assembly by incorporating the brackets for both rails into one big panel. Print was roughly 6.5 hours, but that's mainly cause I've yet to try to dial in my printer for fast printing. Was...

This mount is compatible with the genuine E3D v6, Aero and BLTouch. It's designed to be easy to print and install. The stock stepper motor for the FT5 has been used, although you could create a spacer and use a pancake stepper instead. The layer fan is a 40mm x 20mm or a 40mm x 10mm. The mount also allows the full printing area 300x300x400. I'm still working on the fan duct but extra holes have been added to the mount to make sure it's compatible with new iterations. 2017/05/11 Added...

Just a simple replacement knob and e-stop button for the stock FT-5 screen and plate. The knob is nicely sized length-wise, but may need to be resized in the XY dimensions, depending on how your printer handles tolerances for small holes. The e-stop button has the nice feature of being flush with the front of the frame, so it's less likely to be accidentally bumped while using the knob. When printed in a bright color, it's also easy to find. Depending on the spacing between your 2004 screen and...

Much better mounts for limit switches. I have my machine home to the front/left and these mounts will have you re-position your limit switches. You will need to lengthen the limit switch wires to do this mod. Screws are used for fine adjustments. Even if you don't re-home your machine, I would immediately replace the Z-Axis stock mount as it is of a terrible design. The block for the Z axis is just superglued to the melamine as is the X axis one (to the head).

During assembly of a friend's FT-5 I developed the following assembly aids that I thought others might find useful. Y_Axis_Spacer - this installs such that it connects the Y linear rail bar to the X frame bar at exactly 28mm spacing as called for in the manual and assists in centering the Y linear rails fore and aft on the 2020 extrusion. Attach with some of the M5x10 bolts and t-slot nuts included with the kit, there are plenty of extra. These can be left installed which will keep everything...

After I built my FolgerTech Rev B Kossel I discovered that I was unable use the entire area of the bed. My smooth rods that I had built using the recommended length were not long enough to reach the outer edges of the bed. I didn't want to have to make new rods so I designed this carriage that now provides the extra distance. After calibrating the printer for the changes I've noticed no issues with print quality by using this method for the extra reach and I am now able to print to the edge of...

During a large print my new spool of filament started to unravel and tangle. Rather than risk waking up the next morning to a failed print, I MacGuyvered a makeshift solution using a 1" chip brush and some zip ties. This thing is a more elegant version of the same idea. The filament is guided through the brush's bristles, giving it just enough resistance that it can be easily pulled out as the printers extruder requires, but doesn't allow the filament to get pushed back out towards the...

I designed this bezel to provide a better trim around the optional 7" screen on the FolgerTech FT-6. • Print face down for best results (The STL file is upside down for display purposes but can easily be flipped 180° in your slicer). • Use supports at the four recessed mounting screw locations to provide a nice surface for the screws to tighten against. • Requires four M3x16 screws

I had problems with the new version of the idler pulley not able to keep the belt from coming off. I designed these parts to have the metal pulley piece to mount in the part, then used a small nylon washer to sit between the part and the melamine pieces. It fixed the issue i was having, we will see how long they last.
