Quick fix for those who have normal lead screw nuts, although there are other remixes that address this problem, if you have printed the part already, this is probably your time/ filament saver Nut outer diameter: 10mm Nut screw hole distance: 13.5mm Require: 2x6mm M3 bolt ( M3 hex head ) 2x20mm M3 bolt ( M3 hex head ) 4xM3 nut (for each side) make a duplicate, then mirror one

There seem to be some design flaws on the flsun printer and the lead screws aren't parallel to the rods, causing some pulsation in the x axis tension. One m4 screw can hold this in place on the 2020 aluminum extrusion.

Support for the top of the Z lead screw on an Ender 3 3D printer. This is to prevent accidentally bending the lead screw by rotating it by hand unsupported. This is a new version of my earlier design with screw fixings https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3355230, however the screw fix version interferes with the mounting bracket for an excellent filament guide. I therefore remodelled my push fit version https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3358957 with a shortened mounting key to enable both the...

I had the need for different nut mounts for my leadscrews on my custom D-bot. The D-bot nut mounts doesn't align with the motor mounts if they are mounted "on the same vertical surface". I.E. if both nut mount and motor mount have same z rotation. I designed new mounts that would align with my 3-leadscrew design using the remixed motor mounts from original D-bot: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2401504 According to my measurements it's 21mm from center of leadscrew to edge of...

The new Pursa i3 mk2 uses lead screws for Z-axis. If you download and print the mk2 version files, you will notice the lead screw nut is missing. The TR8x8 bronze nuts that you can find in relevant stores don't match the screw holes of the x-end parts. I spent a lot of time downloading and printing relevant nuts for the lead screw but with no fun as nothing would print to a nice fit with the leadscrew. I decided to designed one from scratch. After reading Wikipedia on Trapezoidal thread forms I...

After installing the original provided with the build I realized that my TR8 nuts were a little larger than BLV's and would not fit in the provide hole. As well I wanted to use the anti-backlash ones I had laying around so I increase the height of the mount to allow the TR8 nut to be installed so it can fit in between the extrusion slot. As well added M3 nut sockets to make for easier installation.

UPDATED !!! This model is a Solidworks redesign / remix of IE_z_motor_mount_10mm_longer_25mm. The nut holder has two flavors (when things don't fit use the "edit" one). Previous model didn't fit on the MPCNC, so I added 4mm to the backplate of the lead screw nut holder. Therefore also the motormount needed an update. The lead screw needs two M3 x 30mm, four or eight M3 x 20mm. I added this extra nut to be able to get rid of most of the slack. The two M3 x 30mm are put in place so the...

This project is to fabricate a fixture which can be used to revolve and reciprocate the work piece for welding of cylindrical components. Typically, a welding of a cylindrical component involves rotating a large fixture mounted horizontally and the welding head performs the welding by moving in the horizontal axis. The drawbacks of this method are that it damages the welding cable upon the motion and the use of complex electrode feeding systems. This fixture eliminates those complications by...

This is a challenge my daughter and I made to create a 3d printer entirely from scratch and without buying anything. All of the parts are custom so I don't expect this will work for many other people, but I was very pleased with how quite and reliable this machine turned out to be. We had to use a lead screw on the Y axis because it's what we had and because the bed weighs about 4lbs, but with proper oiling and isolation between the aluminum parts, it's about the same volume as a Prusa MK2....

This thing is made te remplace camo screw system. The original thing is made for regular 5,5 inches patio decking. But I had smaller planks so I redesigned it. If you use camo 1x, printed 3times, you can simply screw it on a 2x4 or other wood board according to the spacing you need, for the decking boards you have. But if your planks are 115mm (4,5 in) or 138mm (5,5 in) you can use the specific stl you need. You can also remix it as needed. Original camo :...

Warning: I have just realised that installing this on your Creality 3d printer will reduce the usable Z height available for printing. So be careful with the height of items you are printing! You probably want limit the Z axis to 25mm less than the specs. If you have a knob on your extruder you will have to limit it by more. On the Creality printers the lead screw that drives the Z axis is usually not supported at the top. I designed this adjustable support to fill that gap. The support takes a...

This is the hex screw bit (1/4 inch) with the 8mm hole, use it with the cordless electric screwdriver to move the z-rod T8 lead screw nut (or x carriage attached to the screw nut). If the number of sides is 6 for the rod holder then it becomes a nut driver bit. Otherwise, default is 64 for T8 rod holder. The height is applicable for the hex bit part and the rod holder part, so the real height is about double that. Printed using PLA, 40mms, 100% infill, and brim 10mm. Support not needed.

Replacement brackets for the top of the ADIMLab printer that support the lead screws. This bracket does NOT constrain the lead screws. These use rubber grommets that have the same inner diameter as the holes on the stock brackets, but because they're rubber they won't have that awful rattling noise. The somewhat odd shape make them very rigid even if you print in a material thats a little more flexible (like PETG) they should still be very solid. Each bracket takes the following grommet...

This is an adapter to fasten the 8mm lead screw with a 608zz bearing leaning on the 8mm rod. It avoids the lead screw touching the steel chasis while the bearing keeps it free to rotate but fixed into position. It press fits on the 8mm rod for a tight fit like the 608zz. Maybe you will have to file it a bit, remember it's a tight fit. Has been working like charm for me since I installed it months ago. Recommended to print it on PLA, it won't have heat stress and rigidity is the goal here. As...

This is a drop-in replacement for the lead screw on a Sparkmaker SLA 3D printer. My unit had a brass nut and the fit was so sloppy that it jumped on the screw under load. Not good! I designed this nut as a replacement. While I am waiting for the piece to be shipped, I wanted to make a model of it to test fitment on the parts since it will be about a month before it arrives. I used tinkercad to design the model Overall dimensions are 34x30x28mm. Center is 10.3mm. Holes for the lead screw nut are 16mm apart from centers. The indentation is 22mm diameter. Screw holes for the nut are 2.5mm diameter. The holes for mounting the bracket are 3mm diameter.

Don't print support touching the inner thread! 8mm thread 2mm pitch 4 starts Fits into the slide from this linear actuator: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4580936

These files support linear motion using 8mm rods, a lead screw set, and a NEMA 17 stepper motor. It was originally designed for vertical motion in Senior Design 1 Fall 2019 at Clemson University for a Towers of Hanoi project. Additional Hardware Needed - NEMA 17 Stepper Motor [Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/STEPPERONLINE-Stepper-Bipolar-Connector-compatible/dp/B00PNEQKC0/ref=sr_1_5) - Linear Bearings - I used solid polymer bearings....

I made a new clamping ring for the Lead-Screw. Mine had a really good fit, and with the two M3 Screws it will not move. In addition to the clamping ring, there´s a "washer", which is perfect for the bearing. With the Lead screw bearing holder, the Z-Axis runs smooth as can be. Mr. Fonk

These are lead screw steadies for the Rat Rig V-Core 3 printer. I don't recommend you use them.... 24/10/21 Updated front left and front right upper steadies to V2 to correct small (but critical) dimensional inaccuracy. If you are not using an anti-wobble solution these may make your Z banding worse. Results will vary from printer to printer and depend on your alignment and how straight your lead screws are. With these lead screw steadies you will visually reduce the amount your lead screws...

Lead screws are expensive, and hard to come by in all but specialist tool shops. That is why we all use the less than ideal threaded rods in our designs. Looking for a machined lead screw, I saw a 400mm long 8mm SDS drill bit hanging behind the counter. Got me thinking... The attached lead screw nut is scripted in Openscad to fit the Alpen F4 forte 8mm L450/400mm SDS-plus dril bit. I cut off the cutting tip, and threaded on the nuts. Looks very promising... UPDATE: Installed it on my reprap...
