Help to guide the filament into the MK8 extruder, the beauty of this part you don't need to undoing tension screw, it clamp around the end of the block. Heat hot end, remove filament once hot enough, remove the Cooling fan and insert this part. Once Cooling fan back in place, add filament again.

This is a modified version of a fan shroud for a MK8 extruder that incorporates a sensor holder for the z stop. Its sized for a 12 mm sensor like the popular 4mm sensing inductive sensors for auto bed leveling. Uses 2 M3 bolts with M3 nuts. I tried making it one solid print but would not print correctly from all the supports needed any which way you turned it. Thanks to original uploader of fan design works great. ALSO this for the shorter version MK8 meaning hot end from heater block is close....

Having switched from the stock CR6-SE to the Creality MK8 the one thing I miss is the ability to unlatch the extruder from the filament for one handed feeding (useful when doing colour changes and purging). In order to overcome this I have created a simple chock that you clip over the gears once you have squeezed the release lever, this will lock the lever in the open position.

This shroud takes an additional 40x10mm cooling fan and ejects cool air onto the nozzle and extruded filament. I found that if I printed very fine vertical elements the residual heat warped and melted the model. I also made a thin gasket using thick cardboard to help seal the gap between the fan and the shroud. Original x belt carriage of geeetech Pro C isn't so strong and bends after 2 or 3 weeks of usage. This version is stronger and has a greater grab for belt.

Wanted to cool down the extruder and make it simple. Using 2ea 30mm 12V fans with Ramps Fan Extender (D6 & D11) or 1ea 12V and 1ea 5V fans (D9 & D44) set on ramps board. Upper fan is set to start when hot end reaches temperature you set in Marlin config (180deg in my case), lower fan is PWM, cooling the part. Printed in ABS with support.

Summary I designed this as I have a MK8 that is going to be fitted to my super cheap i3 rework. It's the first thing I've really designed for a purpose, so be gentle with critque please... It fits cheap Nema 17 steppers with 42.2mm ish bodies ( has a little wiggle room), and fits the Reprap i3 Rework X carriage using M4 x 20 screws and m4 nuts, and 2 M3 x 12 screws and nuts. This is alternative holder for capacitive bed leveling sensor for my Geeetech A30. The position on front of the extruder is very bad, sensor gets hot from extruder and its sensitivity changes, plus when it is not sensitive enough, if nozzle hits the bed, the sensor gets raised even more when whole extruder assembly gets rotated upwards. This position is much better as when nozzle touches the bed, sensor still gets pushed towards so I have more confidence it will not break my glass.

Filament guide for use of flexible and elastic filaments in MK8 extruders. This give possibility to lover the nozzle temp a bit and still be able to extrude with higer speed w/o getting the filament to bow out between the feeder and throat tube due to higher pressure. This is a part designed for mk8 extruder. It makes possible coupling a 40 x 40 mm GPU heatsink + fan over the stepper motor's rear face. Before installing, some CPU thermal paste can be applied between the contact surfaces to increase the heat transfer and cooling features of the whole set.
