I couldn't find any organizational device for a set of 3in machine vise parallels that I bought (listed below) so I designed this. Hope it helps someone! The second link is one to an ebay listing where you can buy a box if you don't have access to a 3d printer. https://www.amazon.com/Pair-Precision-Parallel-Set-Machinist/dp/B017MXBTH0/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=3+in+parallel&qid=1606930329&sr=8-6 If you don't have a 3d printer, they're available here:...

I am a tool maker that designs and builds plastic injection and foundry molds as well as robotic tooling and general fixturing. I always carry a six inch flexible rule (scale) with me. My shop coat even has a little pocket specially deisned for carrying one. The problem is that the scales are so sharp they cut right throught the pocket and I end up losing my scale- and since I like the Starret brand it's a loss of $20. The plastic holders are a real pain to use since its hard to get the rule in...

I wanted to make some scribe lines on parts that get scratched pretty easily, so I designed and printed this 'machinist square'. I keep this one on my desktop and the real deal in the workshop. :) **Dimensions:** 50mm x 75mm x 15mm **Edit 18.01.2020:** Remodeled in FreeCAD, slightly different dimensions, for increased accuracy. **FreeCAD source file included.**

This is basically a socket, but it makes opening and closing a Kurt vise from full open to full close a matter of seconds job instead of a few minutes haha ;-). Just be careful they tend to break when stop suddenly. They're not perfect but hey they work. I added another version for a 1/4 socket end, the other one tended to break under sudden stop so this one might last a little longer. If that doesn't work for you then just punch a hole through it and put a bolt through it.

Simple mount for holding a machinist rule. The rule can be easily removed or adjusted along its length to "reset" the alignment with the spindle barrel. It is held in-place with a friction fit. I designed it for a 0.045" thick rule. It should work with other rules with similar thickness. For use with a 32 mm diameter tailstock spindle. Screw: 10-32 x 0.75" pan head

Remix to hold the set of 9 parallels from Little Machine Shop. Holder for the parallel shims forthcoming. Holds 9 pairs of 3" thin (0.125" thick each) parallels. Nice design, printed quickly ~2 hours. I got some fat inner corners, so the parallels are held very tightly. I'm going to clean up the corners with a razor blade for a looser fit. Thanks to nady_ice for the design, and cheers!

This bracket mounts both chuck clamping sensors on an Okuma Space Turn LB4000 EX CNC Lathe. The sensors require adjustment for parts of varying diameter to determine if the chuck is clamped onto a part. To bypass this constant adjustment, I designed this bracket to mount to the lathe in place of one of the original sensor mounting plates. Once the sensors are installed, a metal block with a mounting hole fits inside the two top tabs. The operator flips the metal block to one side or the other...

Depth stops for a 6" (150mm) 4 jaw metal lathe chuck, specifically a Logan chuck. They might fit others. These stops help keep the work parallel at a specific distance with the face of the lathe chuck. I have included STL's for stops in nominal sizes from 1/8" to 1/2" and have also included the Freecad file (0.18.4) so you can completely customize the stops however you wish.

Print the ones you need. All gears are 3/8" thick and have 9/16" hole diameter and 1/8" keyway. The diametral pitch is 18, and the pressure angle 14.5 degrees. Designed in Fusion 360. Why these sizes? The collection includes several non standard sizes (e.g. 27T). I use them as stud gears on my South Bend 10K to cut metric threads. For this you will need a metric conversion gear (see below for an approximation you can print), and some calculations. Approximation for the metric...

Designed to fit a harbor freight indicator. The digital OR the analog fit well. The back post of the indicator is tapered and it will press fit into the holder. No need for a bolt. Its incredibly snug, it won't fit all the way in, I didn't find it necessary. You could file the indicator post a touch if you want it to fit better. Fits an Aloris AXA quick change tool post. Its a snug fit, I sanded down the dovetail edges just a hair for a smoother connection. I printed as is with support. the...

As Titor hasn't got a MCH Stone in his wonderful collection (https://www.thingiverse.com/Titor/designs), I had to do one for myself ^^ It's really basic and simple, but the second one is a bigger version with a hole under to add a little electronic : a CR232 battery holder, a mini led, a resistor & a hall effect sensor, to got it to light up when you take it in your hand (with a magnet on a band around your hand !). It may be a little tricky to get all of it inside, but it worked for me.

Going to make John Moran's (Gadgetbuilder) tangential AXA tool holder. Needed a way to set the block in the milling vise on a compound 12° angle, so I figured PLA would probably be rigid enough to hold the steel till the vise jaws clamped down good. Beats tapping the piece with a hammer and trying to get it dialed in. Small adjustments can probably still be made like this even with the blocks underneath though, depending on perfect you want the angle. In use the plastic blocks will go in the...

These two parts can be printed in PLA and used as patterns to cast a brass or copper machinist hammer. The parts need to be mirrored to give four parts in total. The two halves of the core box are used to make a core from sand and sodium silicate or sand and epoxy resin. The hammer head halves fit together to make a split pattern for the sand mould. The core fits into the mould to create a void for the hammer handle. You will need to get a hammer handle to suit. I found mine here...
