I have "improved" the original design to get the heat from the motors away a little bit better - and while i was at it I made the cable tie "hole" a bit sleeker too. Hope you like it.

Holder for cooling a NEMA 17 stepper motor I use this to cool the Z axis of my 3018 cnc mill. The fan has the size 40x40mm, hole spacing 32mm Of course, a flatter fan can be used, mine has a height of 20mm. Only had this in the drawer :-) The housing sits more or less firmly on the NEMA 17 since there are different designs. Have a NEMA since the housing sits tightly, the other loose. Test it.

Created a Nema 17 mount to use on my extruder on top in my CR10. This can be used with dampers as in the pictures. Updates : 07/01/2018 : - Added 2mm of space on each side to be much loose with dampers. - Added a "beta" version with filament sensor attached, supports must be use to print this one. Feedback and tips is always appreciated.

2/1018 I have since made a switch to the cr10 extruder to test it out on a variety of extruders and I have to say that it is working GREAT!! I can't wait to try flexibles with it, also just setup a cyclops with it and going to be testing that out very soon.. 2/6/18 It has came to my attention that a flat area will need to be grinned into the round shaft as I have been seeing slipping of the extruder gear. A simple metal file or a dremal tool should be fine to use. 2/2/18 Ok it's confirmed that...

These are brackets that I have made to mount Nema 17 stepper motors to a small milling table. The “big part” is the main part. I have uploaded one with support material. The cylinder in the middle must be removed after the print. See picture. I also uploaded a “big part” without support material for people who want to generate their own. The small peace is to connect the shaft of the motor to the turning wheel of the table. I printed this part in PET-G. This material is good in flexing...

I made this faceplate in blender to hold 4mm guide rods on a NEMA 17 motor. It can be mounted either on the motor it's self or on an existing bracket. I will probably make a companion part for the other end of the rods but it was not necessary for my build so it isn't ready yet. if you have any problems with this let me know and I will try to correct them.

Parametric bracket Openscad program I needed a bracket to hold my Nema 23 stepper motor to a test rig. These are the parameters I used for a Nema 23 stepper motor bracket. thick = 2.5; center_hole_dia=38.7; center_hole_height_from_base=55; width=96; small_hole_dia=6.3; small_hole_pitch=47.2; fillet_rad=12; The stepper motor fixing holes measured 5.5 mm diameter so I put a M6 Tap down the holes and bolted the motor to the bracket with M6 cap heads. I had 2 corners curl slightly up not sure why....

This is my design to install the damper on the back of the Y motor in order to keep him aligned. The part is installed and align perfectly with the step motor. To install this part together with the damper I used two new M3x40mm bolts between the damper and the step motor, and two M3x12mm bolts between the damper and the bracket. I also used an M5 bolt with a half nut in order to fix the bracket to the frame of the printer. This part is designed to print with no support. I've used 75% infill....

Concept for a simple adjustable direct-drive extruder. A ball bearing is mounted onto the fourth screw hole of the NEMA17 with a slightly non-concentric lever that enables pressure adjustment. Two M5 nuts can be inserted for Bowden-Tube Push-Fit connectors. A 4x2mm PTFE Tube may be inserted to guide the filament path. The extension ring for the bearing may be printed with flexible/rubber filament. The left part has to be printed twice. ;) An additional frame can be used as spacer between the...

designed this for my new (and far more stable print bed) I have been tinkering with this thing for a few weeks now. the frame is machined aluminum and has drilled and tapped holes for all of the mounts, the end stops are integrated into the rail mounts with tapped m3 screw holes (see rail guide mount set in my designs) I haven't put the belt back on yet simply because I still have 2 slots to mill so I can mount my uprights that hold my z axis square to the print bed. This "thing" is designed to support the Z axis coupling on Flsun I3 2017 with Nema 17 mounted on top of frame. The standard couplings are too springy and many "spider" type coupler pull apart. The stabilizer uses a 608ZZ bearing to support the weight of the Z axis. The bearing is not fully constrained in the axial plane, so should not cause Z wobble issues. Note that I do not have replaced the original acrylic Z motor mounts with aluminium. There may be enough flex in the...

I was surprised to find that there was not a nice slew drive design on Thingiverse so I made one. It's completely* parametric so you can integrate it into your projects. It's perfect for moving a large load around (for example a telescope or solar panel) with a deep reduction ratio. A NEMA 17 stepper should generate significant torque using this. It uses 6mm BBs for rolling elements The STL files are for a randomly chosen 100mm gear. You can adjust this for your own needs. Change the gear ratio...

I made two small modifications to the original. Now, the mount middle bar really stays at the middle regardless of the size of the motor or the beam. Also, I made circles more "round" by adding the variable $fn = 64 to the open scad code. Still possible to improve by optimizing the positioning of the holes for fixing screws, but for now I will leave as it is. Thanks to ccox for the original design.

I really like the original knob shape but having fited a filament filter on the extruder input wanted to stop things dropping in to the gap between the motor hob gear and idler; seemed silly to stop dust getting in on the filament but then leave a length exposed to allow re-contamination. I filled the centre of the handle in and then extracted a shaped from each aperture keep the aesthetics and allow it to print nicely without supports

####Overview This bracket is easily printable on nearly every printer and allows a NEMA 17 motor (or anything that has the same front plate dimensions) to be mounted on a European Standard 2020 or 20xx extrusion. ####Why I designed this My FLSUN Cube 3d-printer kit arrived with a broken Y-Axis motor bracket. The Y-Motor is a NEMA 17 motor that gets mounted on the 2020 frame of the printer using a basic plastic bracket. Therefore I quickly designed this model to still be able to finish the build.

The vid has assembly instructions (The hovering gear and mount is *duh* Where the stepper goes) every part except stepper is printed If you do not want to buy a new stepper, Use the stepper from your Extruder (Gear Part) cos u don't need it for this. u can always re-attach later You can print things that are pastes *duh*... like clay, thick cookie dough. stuff like that I can't be bothered writing things at the moment. I will do a proper desc after I have tested... Post...

Simple gearbox designed around my Tronxy X5SA-400. I wanted to add gear reduction to my printer, but never found a suitable (simple) solution. So this thing became my first steps in fusion. To be mounted instead of a NEMA17 by featuring same dimensions. Simple and versatile, can be used with infinite combinations of pulleys and belts. In this example 20 & 40T pulleys + 158T GT2 belt giving me a 2:1 reduction. BOM - 625 bearings 5x16x5 mm - 5mm shaft at least 50mm in lengh - M3 mounting...

This is a remixed extruder mount that supports common 'sandwich mount' style extruders, such as the E3D Titan. Secured with a M3 screw. If it is not secure enough, use a Tee nut (I have found a way to make a tee nut with a M3 nut, M3 washer, M5 fibre washer (sides trimmed), extrusion slot, bracket, bolt stack).

Nema 17 Stepper Motor (17HS24-2104S) mount for oddly shaped rotary table. Cap screws for this are M3 .5 thread 10mm long Fairly sturdy. I only needed to drill/tap 2 screws to keep it locked on tight without vibration. You may need to glue a little piece of gasket material on the motor plate to provide more stability/shock absorption but not necessary for this. I also had to lathe a small groove on the rod for a snap ring where the handle would normally keep it in place as it is turned....

I have need to mount a motor in such a way that I can adjust its position perpendicular to its shaft axis. This thing has slots in it that will take a M3 sized screw. it also has a big M4 hole in the middle if you want to mount that way. There's not much to it, and I forgot to save my other longer winded Description, so here it is.
