EDIT: Added the Z carriage, modified to a more correct sizing of LM8UU fitting. I made a Wild River 240 but I really hate printed bushings. So I modified the Y carriage to be LM8UU friendly. It's designed with some tolerance to snap fit the linear bearing. If you'll find it too lose, I can modify it.

This is just a basic Wall hanging pocket to organize small tools for use around a desk or even a 3d Printer - nothing fancy. The sides have cutouts to allow visible access into the pockets. I'm sure everyone has dropped a small part into these and forgotten about it because it was out of sight and mind. All corners are rounded to add printing strain relief. The base has a non-flat surface to reduce platen contact surface area and thus reduce the pain of removing the finished item. Hope someone...

One of my first attempts at learning to use sketchup. It is a simple cross with a large mounting hole at the top. To reduce plastic used in extrusion, the volume has been reduced by internal triangle shaped voids.

Simple wall mountable peg to hang hats or wire. The base surface area is high enough for double face tape. It also has an angled mounting hole. Because the peg blocks direct access to this hole, its entry was angled for eas of access. Additionally, that will add to the strength of the physical mount.

A simple blue vase, designed in Sketchup by my daughter (12). It was the first design in sketchup that she actually could print on a 3D printer (an UP! Mini). The vase has some design problems with the upper ring, but as you can see, it does print.

Unless you own a fancy tape dispenser; you only have two options with tape. Either fold the end over and discard that piece when you need a new length. Or you can orbit the tape repeatedly, using eyes and fingernails to locate and pry up the tape end. I give you option three, the Tape Tap. Adhere the tape end to this tap and save yourself some trouble.

These are covers for some LED Christmas lights we have. These lights have a keyhole slot for the LED lights. 10 mm diameter hole with a 4 mm wide key slot. The stem and the top of the mushroom need to be glued together with acetone. The sketchup file is provided for the bunny. ANSYS macros are provided for the others. The ANSYS macros call ansys_2_stl_append_130131.mac which is available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:50851

This is a clip my wife asked for so she could attach little chocolate Santa hats to martini glasses for a party. She placed the clip in the chocolate mold and formed the chocolate around the flat end of the clip. This clip is sized for a glass with a 3 mm thick rim angled at 45 degrees. The .stl file has 9 clips to speed printing. This approach could be used for similar glass decoration concepts and glasses by modifying the Sketchup file provided. Perhaps a "2014" clip for New Years...
