This mouthpiece is based off of the Maynard Ferguson Jet Tone Mouthpiece. 100% infill, with cup facing up. Enable Ironing if using Cura. Use support(10% infill) and a 5mm+ brimm for bed adhesion. Beburr as needed and smooth out rim as needed.

My son wanted a plastic mouthpiece and we are using this one to try out different internal shapes to see how they play. This is his favorite shape so far and it is loosely based on the Olds 3 mouthpiece, in that it has a shallow cup and is slightly narrow. I use food safe PETG and sand the rim while spinning it in a drill to get it as smooth as possible. This is far from perfect but it produces a functional mouthpiece when you get done, hope it works for you.

My son needed a cup mute for jazz band, and it seemed like a fun quick project and this is the result. it prints in two pieces with no support, and may require a little sanding where the parts mate to get them to fit smoothly. I printed it at .35 for speed and that made the tolerances tighter. At .2 it will likely slide on smoother (maybe too smooth). once printed we cut up some cork from wine bottles and glued them on. if you take the cup out it works as a straight mute as well. Solution: design print a trumpet mute holder and fix it to the foldback clamp The diameter I selected works for my straight mute as well as for the cup mute, the plunger and the Harmon mute. I have modeled this mouthpiece to print as clean as possible, and as fast as possible. It is on the shorter side, to optimize print times. It doesn't need any supports since there is no greater overhang than 49 degrees. This model is based on a model made by Archytoothis (thing 29485). I printed it, but it didn't fit that well and didn't sound very good on my trumpet. So I drew a new mouthpiece even more optimized to print very fast. This design fits on your trumpet mouthpiece and can be used for buzzing exercises to prevent water tropping everywhere. You will sound like a dying duck though. I printed it without supports and only had to cut out 1 non-sticky thread.
