S99-09201 (4 August 1999) ---Wearing a shuttle full-pressure ascent and entry garment, astronaut Brian Duffy, mission commander, participates in emergency bailout and survival training. Joined by the rest of the STS-92 crew for this training, Duffy had earlier "parachuted" into the giant pool and deployed this life raft to rehearse emergency procedures in the pool. The Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL) is part of the Sonny Carter Training Facility, near the Johnson Space Center (JSC).
