I bought a couple of these recently (in the "20T ID3 OD18 W6" variety, though in hindsight maybe the "16T ID3 OD13 W6" variety may have been more appropriate) to replace the pairs of bearings the A8 uses as belt idlers: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/GT2-Idler-Timing-Pulley-16-20-Teeth-Passive-Synchronous-Wheel-Bore-3mm-5mm-Aluminum-Timing-Pulley/32817701071.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.75d04c4dKwhA35 I put one on the Y-axis tensioner (https://www.thingiverse.com/make:520391)...

I have installed the H plate upside down with the tutorial video, so when I applied the Y axis cable chain there is a problem which is the chain will coming up when 'home' and the nozzle will hit the chain and jam. This is a parts to secure the Y axis Cable Chain in place below the level of nozzle.

This is a minimal mounting bracket for a 3D touch on an Anet A8. The bracket attaches to the top left of the X-axis bearing and fits between the fan and the X-Axis rails. I used a couple of zip ties to hold the 3D touch wires out of the way. For me the offset for the 3D touch was (-22mm, 22mm)

Another 'ThumbScrew' for the HotBed, those I have viewed seemed to be a little narrow to hold so I have increased the depth to enable the user to have better grip. thing:2350276 was the original wheel I used so thanks to Area51 Manual bed leveling the Anet A6/A8 can be awkward so to make it easier use a ThumbScrew. There are some good solutions around - I made modifications and tried to keep it simple.

TLDR: Remixed from a couple of STL files using Tinkercad I have made my vbersion of a 8mm (PINDA) probe mount for the hot end carriage of a Anet A8. Long Version: After Upgrading my printer from a ANET A8 to a AM8, I then swapped out the motherboard and rewired the printer for a EINSY RAMBO turning my printer into a EINSY AM8. Swapped the hot end fan and Part cooling fan with Prusa MK3 Parts (brought from Prusa). I now would like to install a PINDA probe. I found Designs for a 8MM version of a...

The original frame mount design didn't line up right with my frame (there have been changes to the A8's frame design throughout its production run), so I designed a new one by starting with a chain link and building it up from there. The initial installation had the cabling into the bed routed too high, cutting into my usable print area (especially with a 3DTouch on the left side of the carriage). I got some more room for the wiring by removing the plug body and shrink-wrapping the individual...

Fan mount to cool the mainboard for the Anet A8. Mount set for an 80mm computer fan, seats fine on the arm without hardware but will need a screw or bolt to fasten the fan on and it has an optional area to bolt to the arm. Probably compatible with hardware sent by manufacturer of printer. Might need to sand a bit to get it to fit right over hole* I actually used an led fan so i could tell if the cooling system was running really easily.

The original part was a bit difficult to get the nut in the trap due to the hole printing too small, and once I had it in the printer and tightened down, the pulley mount cracked. I've made it 1.5 mm larger at top, bottom, and left, the nut trap is enlarged 0.5 mm so that it's less likely you'll crack that end of the tensioner getting the nut in, and the hole for the tensioner bolt goes all the way through.

I thought to myself, it doesn't always have to be complicated. Anet A8+ owners know that the Power Supply fan constantly blows air towards or over the print bed as well as the print object. Yes, of course there are already ideas for it, but I wanted to be able to attach it simply and without great effort. My airflow is very simple but effective. I simply glued the part to the power supply with double-sided adhesive tape, because as long as the power supply works there is no reason to remove it...

This is the X carriage from the Prusa I3 Mk2s github which has been modified to use the 46mm rod spacing of the Anet A8 instead of the regular 45mm. This should allow someone to print out the Prusa Mk2s extruder assembly and use it with the A8. Prusa's files are at https://github.com/prusa3d/Original-Prusa-i3 but make sure you have the MK2 branch selected. 25 March 2018: I uploaded a new .scad and .stl file. After printing a test version or three, I got the spacing right (for my printer, at...

I soldered my wires directly to the heated bed after the connector burned up, but the wires still occasionally broke loose from the bed due to stress. I tried a cable chain but it still created stress at the end of the movement. Most of the other options I found required attaching directly to the heated bed or rotating the bed causing clearance issues unless I resoldered everything. I whipped this up in tinkercad and it attaches to the cross brace below the bed. I used PETG to print, ABS should...

***ANET A8 - EXTENDED VERSION 220x280mm!*** There is an easy and inexpensive way to increase the build space on your Anet A8 by 60mm. It is possible to directly install a larger 220x280mm heatbed on the A8 printer, the screw locations are identical, so the bed will fit directly on the stock heatbed carrier, but to utilize its larger dimensions, the rear plate must be moved backwards so longer y-bearing rods (450mm) as well as longer M8 rods can be installed, which are both necessary to get...

I took AleksBozovic's design and reduced the height a little bit. Because I got a new surface for the heatbed which is a little bit thicker, I had to move the hotend up. the original fan nozzle and the one from AleksBozovic did touch the heatbed, so I threw it into solidworks and made three version 2/3/4 mm shorter. Works great, thanks for the original design. I had far better print results after I activated "bridges" in cura settings.

AM6 ==================== I turned my Anet into the AM6 over the course of a couple weeks. The black filament parts in the photos were printed on the A6, the silver PLA photos on my Prusa MK3S. The most noticeable differences are, no more ghosting and I can print quite a bit faster. Marlin 1.9 --------------------- In addition to the Am6 frame, I've updated to Marlin 1.9. On Marlin, I've enabled linear advance 1.5 (this is huge for print quality), turned on s-curve, and junction deviation. I...

The original nut cap design wasn't deep enough. I tossed this into Fusion 360 and with some gentle persuasion I managed to make it about 10mm deeper to account for the threaded rod coming through my nut on my ANET A8. Fits a big snug but fits nonetheless. Update v1 is 12mm deep. v2 is 16mm deep. If you need it any deeper or it modded, please let me know & I'll see what I can do for you. Thanks!

Just a simple frame for Anet's mainboard. Allows insall/unistall MB with only four bolts, no need to hold the nuts by second hand. You just need to insert 4 nuts per side (may they need to be heated and fused), screw the holder to printer's frame and screw mainboard to it.

Simple feet to lift your Anet A8 off of your table. Also slightly reduces vibration noise from reverberating through the table. I used 6 and I recommend the use of 6 feet, 2 on the front, 2 on the back and 1 under each gantry base, using more wont hurt.
