Summary I think this is the design I will use for any further work. (Mixing nozzle version next) Please post a Like if you do. Tip would be mind-blowing, even 5c or 5p. It's not about the amount. I did try some of the complex cooling nozzles others had designed, but it cluttered the nozzle and hid it. Also if air is blown at a central point it can only go upwards towards the extruder, cooling it? IMHO it needs to flow across the surface, not at the nozzle directly. You can see if it's cooling...

This is a clamp to mount the bowden extruder to the top of the printer as can be seen in the photo. You will require two m3 bolts to screw the clamps together. Dont file the holes and print at an accuracy of 0.1 with a brim. You will need a bit of packing for the back or another one printing of one of two parts to support the back. I have folded paper and it works perfectly. This mount can go on both the left and the right meaning dual extruder is possible without editing the frame in anyway.

This is a remix from bowden fittings by thingiverse user wjflier. This Basically connects two 4mm OD 2mm ID bowden tubes and links them together with a 2mm passthrough in the center for the filament. i printed it it without supports but you can add them if you'd like.

This is a Bowden cable coupler. It joins Bowden cables. Filament passes easily from one cable to another. With an M4 nut, the grip on a standard sized (4mm OD) bowden cable is strong enough not to detach during prints. One side lets you slip a Bowden cable in and out to allow for easy detachment. ##Why? * Easy to detach * Corrects mistakes made from undersizing Bowden cables * Allows coupling tubes of different material, e.g. teflon with PEEK. I started making this design after finding it...

This is a bowden fitting to secure a standard 4mm PTFE tube around a 6mm threaded heatbreak. It utilizes one of those compression fitting things from a standard bowden fitting. OD is 5.5mm. There are no internal threads on this, it is sized to self-tap itself over the heatbreak. Shrinkage was compensated for 5% (ABS used). There is a lip on the inside where the fitting will lock in place. Mine holds really well. It is 9mm tall with a 2.5mm deep fitting lip; if your printer is calibrated to a...

My reprappro bowden tube would occasionally come out during a long print, which is a bit annoying! So, I printed two versions of a 'clamp' that simply holds the tongue (clip/lock ??) down but has enough bend to still lift the tongue out when needed.

I realized that the push/pull motion of the extruders is what damages the Bowden tube fittings because their round plastic lock constantly moves in and out, so I designed this thing to lock it into place. I tested it extensively and I haven't had any fitting damaged after I installed these on any of my printers. It requires two M3 16 mm screws and two M3 nuts. The M3 nuts are loaded from the side so that they will stay in place when attaching/dismantling the thing. Longer screws will also work...

This is a compression clamp that replaces the Bowden Tube press-to-release clamps that sometimes are impossible to release. This clamp does not require tapered threads and uses instead a barbed compression sleeve that holds the tube securely yet releases easily. This particular clamp was designed to attach the bowden tube to the hot end on a delta style printer. It includes a bracket that attaches to the hot end mount to prevent the shaft of the clamp from unscrewing from the mount when...

I have converted my FT-5 printer to and from Bowden filament feed on a couple of occasions while settling into the (maybe) final configuration. In the process I was faced with having to do something about mounting the hot end onto the carriage when the extruder motor was removed. Rather than modify the existing carriage plates too much I decided to print replacements for components that were moved or eliminated. In this manner I could experiment with Bowden feed without doing anything...

With this remix I intended to "semi close" both nut holes, the bottom way. in this case. didn't get the reason why initially was both way open, up and down. it's moderately tricky to insert and hold in position the nut, and inserting the bolt with the clamp and get the right height for the bolt to enter the nut... this way you can slide the nut, and it won't fall. just slide the bolt, and it will catch the nut, without holding it in the right place. easier mounting, that's it.

Summary This is a small NEMA 17 sized bowden extruder using all 3D printed structural parts, designed and tested for high-speed/high-volume printing. To make the design simpler and more compact, the filament is routed through the pivoting arm containing the idler bearing. This also allows the extruder to accommodate different sized drive gears. A large spring puts 14kg (30lb) or more (over 14kg is untested) of pressure at the point where the filament contacts the drive gear, allowing better...

I remixed the https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3968738. I printed the bottom and bolt from this thing, but remixed the top. I thought the razor could be mounted a bit better in the top part of the cutter. Thought it could be a bit firmer. You can now slide the razor into the holder and secure it with 3 M3x10 bolts. It's also fun to remix a design, learning a lot from it.

A bowden clip for e3d v6, and the e3d bowden clips. This is thicker as the others I've found still allow a bit of play in the tube during high speed retractions. Total thickness is 1.9mm, which fits tightly in my bowden tube & e3d hotend clip. Edit: not strictly a remix, but I used the source for measurements, so I gave credit anyway. Bowden type extruders are great, but one drawback is in the use of the push fit clamps for the PTFE tube. If there is any slop in the tube to fitting part you will have endless problems with stringing etc because you are loosing retract movement and building in free play. My design is simple to print, but the part was created in tinkercad so is quite basic in design and requires some clean up caused by overhangs dropping, I feel adding supports would just give you something else to remove. The...

Another Bowden coupling design that holds the 4mm PTFE tube in a secure grip. Make sure to not over tighten, keep move a filament in the tube as you tighten the nut and stop when you feel the slightest friction increase, if possible try to insert a 1.9-2 mm steel wire while tightening to avoid to distort the tube geometry. Now you have a rigid Bowden connection. Several versions of the body to suit different applications and needs. Print in the kind of filament that suit your own specifications...
