A cover for the 12 volt plug in your car. It's all in the name, really. This was made to cover the 12 volt cigarette lighter port in my friend's car that no longer has a cigarette lighter. I was planning to add something fun to it (animals, text, or even just paint on the flat surface) but I'll be short of free time in front of a computer for a bit. This is a cigarette lighter plug designed to fit any size cigarette lighter. It was intentionally designed to fix the cigarette lighter in a Ford Explorer that had previously broken. It fixed the gaping hole that was left after this failure. The plug fits seamlessly into the cigarette lighter. A high quality print is necessary for success (the piping on the sides of the lighter provides a friction fit).

Use 3 8 mm bolts to mount the cover and front holder use a smaller 6 mm or so bolt to mount the clip to the front end make the hole in the back cover bigger by drilling it to the wire size you will be using also use a rubber O ring to ensure water proofing

I needed a hook to hang a garbage bag in my truck, and I never use the 12v plugs. This fits right in there. Your filament will determine how good this does. PLA will flex a bit, so it is probably better for the pressure against the sides. If you print this laying down (the flat back, which also acts as a place you can shim with a nonconductive item for a tighter fit) you may have better success, as printing vertically risks more possible delamination breakage along a layer. Always want a lighter outside? This is the thing for you. Print as many chain links as you need. The lighter holder is printed upright as not to bother with suppoert material, the links flat face down so the layers hold better.

Sliced with KISSlicer 1.6.2. It is important that your 3d printer is well calibrated so that the lighter can enter and remain tight without slipping out. For drawing with the heart, supports are needed, of course! I used PET-G. I find it a fantastic material. This does not mean that PLA cannot be used.

So the original ashtray of my car was big enough to keep the lighter and the e-cigarette, but it was moving all over the place and rattling. The overall dimensions fit perfectly in the void left when removing the original ashtray. Also allows you to keep the lighter coil while using the socket to power USB devices. It's a very specific design, but I am leaving the SolidWorks part to for you to modify and make it fit your own needs.
