Madau3D's Divinator is great but I wasn't happy with the method of fixing it to the existing spacers, so made two new "Top Hat" spacers which when the rollers are tightened back on with the capscrews clamp it securely, I did leave a bit of a rebate on the end of the spacer flanges so they didn't rub on the bearing shield. My second version direct drive extruder, I got the handedness incorrect for my mounting on my first one. This version has a funnel in the arm that you can fit a small sponge or cloth in to clean the filament as it goes in. I also curved the bearing end of the arm slightly to allow it to grip even tighter. If you use nylon filament and a good stiff spring it can drive curtains. Quietly. Due to my almost pathological need to make my own version of everything, here's my direct drive mount for the Ender 3. Bolts onto the x carriage wheels in place of the spacers. Should be pretty solid; I'm getting pretty good results so far. Should fit the stock extruder; I'm using an aluminium one but the dimensions seem to be the same. I made this spacer to mount my extruder to the motor for my 3DFused Direct Drive bracket since the factory screws for the extruder were made for the thickness of the motor mount on the frame, which doesn't exist when you mount the extruder directly to the motor, making the screws a tad too long. for those who tired of replacing 3 times a week cracked idler . I have replaced 10x5x5mm bb with some bigger 10X15X4MM from rc cars TRAXXAS \ HPI rc toy cars, found on ebay. This gives me a more contact sqare with a filament for about 50-60%, and BB was placed little higher making more pressure between gear and bb. Also i have added 10mm m3 screw and some washer from piece of textolite which holds bb in place, and makes this thing sturdy.

Remixed with a slit for the filament, this can be pushed in enough to pop in the filament in without it accidentally coming back out. spit the part up for easier remix and printing, will need supports on the loop connector. it is a tight fit fitting together, so wont slide apart. This project has not been abandoned! I have been focusing on tuning up my printer and tweaking the code for my other Thing (which in turn will provide a hyperbolic gearset with an optimized ratio). My biggest roadblock has been actually printing extra parts for further testing, as my printer has recently been in and out of commission. I have plenty of filament to throw at it though. Made my own file, beacouse I have all metal extruder - watch pictures for what type of extruder is this bracket. I extended it for 10mm. It worked to me now, but maybe I will update it later with only 9mm extension. I think 10mm is a little to long now (but it works). For mounting the EZOut v2 Filament Runout Sensor directly to a Micro Swiss Direct Drive. **Important Note** You should install a bowden tube leading into the sensor. Direct drive for red aluminum dual gear extruder. Fits Ender 3 and Ender 3 V2. I had been using the Direct Drivinator with Hero Me 5 before this but found that I was getting a lot of flex when the extruder pushed filament forward. This resulted in blobby prints.
